The Brotherhood of Man

General overview for February 2006.

This month of February brings a focus onto the sign of Aquarius with three planets in this sign, namely the Sun, Mercury and Neptune. The Sun is about individuality, the life force and our vitality. Mercury is about communications, expressing opinions and getting the message across. Neptune is about idealism, utopianism, and our imagination. We as humble human beings can use the positive energies of these planets in the most humanitarian sign of Aquarius to unite our intentions for this planet, if we want to. The Brotherhood of Man should be our prime purpose in life, as well as finding our own personal happiness. The planets will not force us nor dictate to us what we should do with our lives. They are just tools for us to use as a guideline in our lives. We can choose to ignore the messages from the Universe and go about our lives as if the planets were not even there. However, to me, that would mean missing out on a whole lot of information that can give meaning to our lives, should it be lacking in any way.

I believe in accessing the tools of the Universe, which is why I studied astrology. There is a stellium in Pisces in my chart in the sign of Pisces, which gives me altruistic ideals and the hope for a better life, no matter what the circumstances. There have been occasions when I have inadvertently found myself in life-threatening situations, yet I always ‘believed’ I would be OK. Hope is one of the strongest motivation factors that I know of, as without it I would not even bother with life.

Hopefully you have not minded my little personal bit here, it is just that there can be worldwide peace, it is just up to us as individuals on this lonely planet to ensure that we aim for it, and maintain it.

Overall however, there are ten very helpful planetary alignments this month, compared to only five negative ones. Firstly the positive ones always bring some kind of release or opportunity to move in the right direction for the betterment of our soul. The tricky ones are always testing us, challenging us to stand tall and be counted, even in the face of adversity. It is not always easy to make the right choices when one’s back is to the wall.

People often ask me when is a good time to do this, or that. I have always found it is easier to advise when not to do something, as the tricky planetary alignments are always trying to caution us to be careful on certain days. When the positive alignments roll around, yes we can be sure that making choices around then is going to lead to improvement, happiness, clarity, success or whatever else it is that we want. However, there will nearly always be a not so helpful alignment looming near that is also trying to advise us that there will be some hiccups, and we are to take this into consideration when making important life decisions. Gosh I am chatty today aren’t I?

Being a little more specific……………….

On Friday 3 February Venus will turn direct. Venus is all about love, romance, pleasure and the good things in life. During the retrograde phase we may have re-assessed who we love, what we love and why we love them. Now we know the answer. We can move forward knowing that our affections and responses to affection are in harmony with the way we would want them. Those who may have experienced some difficulties with their beloved may now be able to put things back on track. What we value and consider a priority will now become crystal clear. Anyone with similar degrees in Capricorn, or in any of the other cardinal signs, such as Aries, Cancer or Libra may notice a change in their values or in their intimate relationships.

On Thursday 9 February Mercury will enter Pisces, and due to a retrograde phase will remain in this sign right up until 16 April 2006. This is the time to tune into the Cosmos for insight and guidance. There will be mystics in the news and all sorts of movies coming out during the next two and a half months that will focus primarily on things that are intangible such as dreams, visions, clairvoyance, magic, mysteries and all elements of the unknown, untried and untested. Those who seek to find their true destiny may very well be inspired and start out on a new path of self discovery. Artists, musicians, poets and writers of mystery will have a wonderful time finding the most imaginative ways to be productive of creative and beautiful works.

There will be a Full Moon on Monday 13 February with the Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Leo, at 24 degrees of these signs. For some the ego may get in the way of the collective vision of mankind. Try to be more open-minded and offer a helping hand to those in need.

On Saturday 18 February Mars enters Gemini and will remain in that sign up until 15 April. During this time some people may enjoy debating and or even arguing, just for arguments sake. There may be some distress associated with twin births during this time. News generally will be relayed in a hurry and for those who rush headlong into battle, the throng will be vicious, especially verbally. Avoid noisy crowds or people bragging or making trouble for themselves. News items will focus on people in groups, demonstrators and those who wish to be heard, despite how aggravating it may be for the audience.

The life-giving Sun will move into Pisces around 19 February for a stay of one month. Perhaps we should use this time to become more aware and in tune with the natural energies of this lovely planet, nature and the ocean. Those who are naturally gifted psychically could have some wonderful and enlightening experiences. So too can musicians artists, poets and all those interested in tapping the vast unknown. It is a time to show sensitivity and compassion for those who are less fortunate than ourselves and to be peaceful in mind and body.

There will be a New Moon at 9 degrees of Pisces on Tuesday 28 February 2006. What an ideal time to just relax by the ocean and letting your imagination wander. Those who are psychic may receive some very special spiritual messages from the Cosmos today.

For horary enthusiasts, continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception. Jupiter will continue to remain in mutual reception with Pluto all February, right up until late November 2006.

Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.

The favourable days in February 2006 are:

Thursday 2 February: Mercury conjunct Neptune. This potentially could create confusing conditions or outright deception. Read the fine print, if it is not too fine to read, and do not sign contracts or give confidential information to those who may use it against you. For those who are finely tuned or psychic they will have various inspirations or hunches that could be useful in some way, but be wise and double check your information, regardless of where it comes from. Musicians and artists could have a productive day if they allow themselves the luxury of letting their imagination flow without obstruction. Monday 6 February. Sun conjunct Neptune. This can one of those days that will seem magical to those who are open and attuned to the cosmic vibrations around them. A positively inspiring day and one that will be long remembered as a day that brings the beautiful side of nature and life to our attention and the recognition that there are great wonders all around us, each and every day, if we just open our eyes and senses. Spend some time relaxing near the ocean and it will soothe your tired or restless soul. Music will be inspirational and those who are gifted in this area may create some magical lyrics or tunes. Opening a store selling musical or artistic products should fare well. However also be aware that the downside of these energies can bring confusion, deceit, masquerades, and people out to get what they can by whatever underhanded tactics are required. The sheep in wolf’s clothing can be an appropriate way to describe what may be encountered for those who are unwary. (Please also note the adverse Mercury/Mars alignment today).

Tuesday 7 February: Mercury sextile Pluto. This is the day that detectives and the police can uncover hidden motives, dead bodies, or anything else that has been covered over. This is also a good time to start writing that mystery novel, solve a crossword puzzle, or complete that jigsaw. The mind will be penetrating and clear. Those who seek to discover what lies beneath the surface of things will be pleasantly surprised at what they find. Starting a new study course too will keep those in attendance in awe of what they learn. (Please also note the adverse Sun/Jupiter alignment today).

Wednesday 15 February. Venus sextile Jupiter. This is a brilliant day for getting engaged, married or starting a new romance or friendship. Also good for opening a new business, especially if it is connected to women’s products, entertainment, the travel industry or foreign relations. Throwing a lavish party will also meet with success, though could be very costly. Starting a long distance journey, voyage or holiday could put you on a new learning curve and would be highly enjoyable and may result in a new love interest in your life, if you are single and fancy free.

Also today Sun sextile Pluto. This can prove to be a great time to try to remake yourself or change your spots, if you need to. A day to spring clean, get rid of the old and outworn and be refreshed by the newness of starting out on a new path. Someone in power may take a gigantic leap forward or be presented with an offer that almost seems too good to be true, but it will ultimately change the course of their destiny. A wonderful day to get married or start some new enterprise that involves reform or renovation in any way. If you wish to pull down the walls and rebuild them, this is the best time to do it. New relationships formed today, whether friendship or intimate, will literally put your life into a different perspective and possibly change your life forever.

Also today Mercury makes a conjunction to Uranus. The grey matter can be stimulated and some will have flashes of insight into previously tricky problems. A great day to try to solve a puzzle or attempt some brainstorming. New ideas could revolutionise existing thoughts and make headway for some exciting news. There could be some new discoveries or inventions arise in the course of the day, and those who are the geniuses on the planet will also be inspired more than usual. A good day to open a communications or other business involved in the transference of information or ideas. Starting to write, or even launching a new book could also prove highly successful and grab the attention of those seeking something new and different. This alignment holds the promise of surprise and excitement. If you wish to start a unique advertising campaign or launch your ideas out into the big wide world, choose this day to do it. Many communications will contain startling information or news that will surprise people. New websites or other communications businesses, such as magazines or newspapers, that are launched today will fare well but will need to be constantly coming up with new concepts and stimulating ideas to keep us all entertained and enlightened.

Monday 20 February: Mercury trine Jupiter. This angle promises those who strive to see the bigger picture will do so and teach those who listen how to find it themselves. A great day to start a holiday or travel to places previously unseen. This could prove to be a great day to start writing a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. Also a favourable day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved. Expansion is the key-word for the day, so plan to make this as positive a time as possible. A busy day for the travel industry and the Internet. Friday 24 February: Mercury sextile Venus. This tends to incline people towards thoughts of love, harmony and peace. Some will write lengthy declarations of their feelings for the one they adore. Peaceful negotiations are highly likely for those who have the best interests of everyone at heart. A good day to have a celebration, throw a party, go on a special date, get engaged or married. Businesses focussing on communications and the elements of romance will fare well, such as greeting cards offering words of love and friendship. A day of love and poetry and light hearted fun and frivolity. Take time out today to enjoy some lovely music or pleasant scenery and you will be aligning your actions in accord with the romantic and peaceful vibrations of the heavens. Romantic attachments and friendships formed today will be free of jealousy or binding commitments. People will want to be carefree and concerned with happiness and pleasure.

The not so favourable days in February 2006 are:

Thursday 2 February: Mercury square Jupiter. Big plans made today may not fulfill your initial requirements, further down the road. If you order one hundred of something, it may turn out that you only needed five. The emphasis will be on expansion and learning, but the effort and enthusiasm will be just as big an ask. Commit only to what you are suited to, or else you could find yourself out on a limb in less time that you can say your name. It would be wise not to commit yourself to anything today that could bring you possible legal difficulties further down the road. People will over-commit or take on more than is wise and choke on it all at a later time. People cannot be trusted to do as they say or follow through on obligations. (Please also note the Mercury/Neptune alignment today).

Monday 6 February: Mercury square Mars. This is not the day to buy a new car, start a new business or take on more than you can handle. Some people may make hasty or rash decisions, and will wish they hadn't very soon after. Some people may stretch the brawn or the brain, or both, and end up with sore muscles or a headache. I would not advise starting a long road or rail journey. The news may not be what we want to hear and bad news tends to travel fast on days like this too. Also don't expect people to be patient or tolerant today and do not attempt to reach amicable agreements as people just won't be in the mood, or just too rushed to listen. Some people may not take enough care with their speech, taking one foot out of the mouth only to replace it with the other foot just as quickly.

Tuesday 7 February: Sun square Jupiter. Not the kind of day to make promises that you later may find hard to keep. So don’t try to talk or discuss philosophical issues with those in positions of power or associated with the legal sector of society. Some human rights may be violated on a day like this. Not the kind of day to be caught up in a big crowd as things can get out of hand and problems arise to do with large gatherings of people, especially near big buildings or law courts. Do not start any new business venture unless you have a lot of capital to back you up when things don’t pan out as much, or as soon as, you had hoped for. I also would not recommend getting married as it may prove to be a heavy burden involving more than you can safely or adequately handle.

Monday 20 February: Sun square Mars. Not a day to speed down the highway ignorant of other drivers on the road. Not a good day to travel and, in particular, in any vehicle that will take risks or go too fast. Not a day to even go on a risky amusement park ride as something may just go wrong. This is an accident prone day so do not buy a new car or other machinery, or attempt to cross the road when there is lots of traffic. Some people will go off half cocked and end up red faced if they try stepping on other people’s toes unnecessarily. Someone in power may have some difficult problems to deal with that arises suddenly and has to be resolved without blinking. People will not be patient or feel like waiting around on a day like this.
