Freedom

General overview for December 2006.

This month of December is going to be a little easier to get through, as there are more positive alignments (9) compared to only 4 negative ones, and another 4 that can tip either way.

This month starts with the Sun, Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius, followed shortly by the entry of Mercury and Mars into this sign.

With the entry of mighty and expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius, and the other planets currently occupying this sign, I feel strongly that the Cosmic message is to make your bid for freedom NOW! Jupiter needs to feel free, unrestricted, ready to explore and be out there. In Sagittarius, which Jupiter rules, he feels this even more so, and will make the effort to find as much freedom of movement as possible.

In an era where we are restricted or limited by time on a daily basis with all forms of communication reminding us where we should be, what time we should be there, it can be exhausting trying to get what you need done, in the apparently small space of time. We have our mobiles ringing, the alarm clock going off, the bus to catch, the Internet to search, the emails to read and all of the other mundane day to day life limitations that are imposed on us fragile human beings. Life is complex, and yet it should be so simple. Time is always of the essence, and we let it rule our life.

Now we can make our bid for freedom. We can find ways to make our life less complex and more liberating. Perhaps we are in a job that gives us no scope for expressing who we really are. Maybe we are in a restrictive relationship that confines us to our homes, when we would rather be out there having a long walk or some real fun! Whatever has been holding you back is now ready to be released, so set yourself free, free to live.

Perhaps your day to day life is full of living up to other people’s expectations which leaves little room to manoeuvre. Now you can perhaps find ways to change this so that you are living the full expression of who you really are, and not what others demand of you.

Your daily schedule may be crowded with too many limitations that leave you feeling exhausted at the end of the day, and lacking any real personal satisfaction. Now is the time, as I said before, to make your bid for freedom. Now!

Ho hum…. I really do have a bee in my bonnet this time don’t I?

As mentioned above, there are 9 helpful planetary alignments, and 4 that can go either way, and 4 not so helpful ones.

In chronological order there are various changes in the heavens this month and they are: there will be a Full Moon on 5 December; Saturn will turn retrograde on 6 December up until mid April 2007; also today Mars will enter Sagittarius and remain in this sign up until the end of February 2007; Mercury will enter Sagittarius on Friday 8 December and remain in this sign up until 27 December 2006; Venus will enter Capricorn on Monday 11 December and remain in this sign up until 4 January 2007; there will be a New Moon at 28 degrees of Sagittarius on Thursday 21 December; the life-giving Sun will enter Capricorn on 22 December and remain in this sign up until 20 January 2007, and lastly Mercury is on the move again by entering Capricorn on 28 December and remaining in this sign up until 15 January 2007.

Now down to the specifics………………

On Tuesday 5 December there will be a Full Moon with the Sun at 12 degrees of Sagittarius and the Moon at 12 degrees of Gemini. This can lead to lots of debates and discussions where there are totally different opinions being expressed. Try to avoid getting caught up in senseless chattering and communications that will only leave you breathless. If you have personal planets at this degree in your personal chart this may be a time of fruition.

On Wednesday 6 December Saturn turns retrograde and will remain in this phase up until mid April 2007. Where there had been order, regulations and a stronger hand forcing those to follow the rules, now some people will start running amok, possibly with no sense of where they are going or how to get there. We may not have much stability in the housing market and/or land prices, or it goes through a very sluggish time. Those ambitious ones amongst us, may feel they are getting nowhere or going backwards from their aims. They may have hoped in vain that their plans would take them in leaps and bounds up the corporate ladder. Alas a more propitious time will come for that.

Also today Mars enters Sagittarius where it will remain up until the end of February 2007. This has the potential to aggravate travel plans (especially long distance ones) and the manifestation of conflict between different cultures. Freedom of action will be a high priority for many and any restraint will be met with angst. Lawyers and the travel industry may have a busier than usual time. Someone in the horse-racing industry may also be under fire, or an accident occurs involving a horse or polo pony. (Ooops I think that last sentence just slipped out and was more psychic than anything else). Those who can harness the positive energies of this sign may see glimpses into the future of any situation and this could prove highly valuable to those who have this gift.

On Friday 8 December Mercury will enter Sagittarius and remain in this sign up until 27 December. This can highlight the areas of opinions and beliefs and have people expressing their own ideas on what is the real truth or purpose of our existence, yet reflecting on whether this is really appropriate, or needs reassessing. We may also see a lot of changes and/or interest, in the travel industry and overseas matters and people coming to our attention, more than usual.

On Monday 11 December Venus will enter Capricorn where she will remain until 20 January 2007. This could be a good time to bring some fresh flowers to the office, or do some re-decorating especially anything involving beautiful arrangements, colours, delicate flowing fabrics, drapes or antiques. People of different age groups or nationalities can achieve some harmony if they make the effort during this time.

There will be a New Moon at 28 degrees of Sagittarius on Thursday 21 December. This can be wonderful for embarking on a long trip or sending that manuscript off to a publisher. We may also be more adaptable and open to other ideas now.

On Friday 22 December the life-giving Sun will enter Capricorn where it will remain for one whole calendar month. This will bring traditional and conservative matters into the forefront of our lives, celebrating the Festive Season is a typical example of that. General business matters will flourish as we go shopping as if there is no tomorrow. We also become more family orientated and do what is considered the norm. I suspect there may be a VIP, or a member of parliament, who experiences some health concern, and in particular, perhaps one of the members of the British Royal family may undergo some crisis or there is a separation of some type associated with one or more members of this family.

Lastly on Thursday 28 December Mercury is on the move again by entering Capricorn and will remain in this sign up until 15 January 2007. This can bring serious matters up for discussion, especially those involving conservative business industries and those that have been around a long time. Matters associated with the funeral industry may be under investigation for some reason and the real estate business may see some pressure to bring prices down. Overseas and foreign relations can also be strained and differences of opinion arise that show the things that divide rather than those that unify. However, this energy can be applied positively and used for serious study or dedication to a task until it is finished.

For horary enthusiasts, continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception.

Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.

The favourable days in December 2006 are:

Friday 1 December: Venus sextile Neptune. This is just wonderful for a first date, getting engaged or married or throwing a huge party or other social gathering. If you utilise the themes of the ocean, romantic or magical effects, the outcome will be truly fascinating for all those who participate. Musicians, artists and poets will be in their element with their thoughts and imagination flowing freely and inspired by the mystical aspects of the Universe. A good day to open a business focussing on the elements of beauty, flowers, crystals, perfumes and women’s products. This could be a heavenly day. Some people may be lucky enough to find their soul-mate. This is a magical time and will colour over all misgivings and produce a haze of wonder and delight that will leave you gasping. New friendships or romances commenced today seem idyllic and will restore your faith in humanity. People generally will appear to be more caring and compassionate. This is the kind of day when everything looks beautiful and inspirational. An ocean journey would be quite pleasurable to the senses or any other similar beautiful scenic location. A wisp of magical stardust will drift down from the heavens and gloss over today, inclining some romantic types to fall in love. The Sun will rise before you even had the chance to put out the candle lights.

Thursday 7 December: Venus trine Saturn. This is the type of alignment that suggests a good time for entering into new negotiations, friendships or marriage. Any new business that is involved in the finance industry, or to do with women’s products and services, florists and perfumes will prosper if you can stick it out for the long haul.

Sunday 10 December: Mercury conjunct Mars. I always feel that this influence can be used either positively or negatively. On the more positive note, this can be a high energy day on a mental level so people will want to voice their opinions or be vocal about what they consider important. A good day to start a new business that requires huge doses of both intellect and muscle. Also a good time to take a hike, enter a marathon run, or join up with a group of young people to swap ideas on how to get and stay fit and healthy. This is also a time to become organised with your filing system, conquer the mountain of paperwork and then let off steam later in the gym for some muscle flexing. However, on the down side, this can produce an argumentative influence. Some people will open their mouths before putting the brain into gear. Some will go off half-cocked, speak rashly or incite argument and conflict. Not the day to start a fight with any close friendships or relationships as heated words can be felt for a long time after this and lead to resentment and loathing. Hurt feelings will go deep and be remembered. Be wise and stick to routine and don’t travel unless you absolutely have to. Do not buy a car or speed if driving. Accidents can happen at the most inconvenient time and if you are in a hurry, slow down, despite how late you will be. You will eventually get there if you can just focus on being the tortoise rather than the hare.

Also today, Sun sextile Neptune: This is one of those days that will seem magical to those who are open and attuned to the cosmic vibrations around them. A positively inspiring day and one that will be long remembered as a day that brings the beautiful side of nature and life to our attention and the recognition that there are great wonders all around us, each and every day, if we just open our eyes and senses. Spend some time relaxing near the ocean and it will soothe your tired or restless soul. Music will be inspirational and those who are gifted in this area may create some magical lyrics or tunes. Opening a store selling musical or artistic products should fare well.

Monday 11 December: Mercury conjunct Jupiter. This angle promises those who strive to see the bigger picture will do so and teach those who listen how to find it themselves. A great day to start a holiday or travel to places previously unseen. This could prove to be a great day to start writing a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. Also a favourable day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved. Expansion is the key-word for the day, so plan to make this as positive a time as possible. A busy day for the travel industry and the Internet.

Tuesday 12 December: Mars conjunct Jupiter. Another wonderful day promising opportunities that will bring growth and abundance to those who put in the time and effort. A good day to start a new business or buy a car or go travelling. Some will take on more than they can handle, but most will be wise with their time and their expectations. The travel industry will be busy and this is a good time to invest in something you have researched previously and now you can take a punt and anticipate that all will end well.

Sunday 17 December: Sun trine Saturn. This angle promises to keep the established order of things on the right track. If you wish to impress the boss, or show them how responsible and hard working you are, then choose today to make your move. Choose to be upstanding, conservative and reliable and your efforts will be recognised, perhaps not overnight, but it will happen. Applying for jobs in the public service or other traditional establishment will meet with success if you follow the rules to the T. Dress conservatively, obey orders, be on time, and you will surely rise up the corporate ladder if this is what you are wishing for. People need to know that they can rely on you and know that you are the rock upon which others lean on for guidance and wisdom. Various efforts made today can have very long range effects so put some real effort into your endeavours, and if you can be there for the long haul, success will follow.

Wednesday 20 December: Venus sextile Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a startling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment.

Also today, Mercury sextile Neptune. This is a wonderful alignment for us fragile human beings, especially if we wish to tune into the cosmos and see what is really there. This can be a brilliant day to tune in and discover some amazing enlightenment as to our place in the scheme of things. New publications released today will do well, especially if they can incorporate some measure of mystery in their stories. Starting a new book with a focus on the mysteries of the universe, dreams or psychic phenomena will turn out very well. Travel brochures will be eagerly snapped up today and bookings made for overseas destinations with great enthusiasm. The travel industry will have a busy day moving people from A to B in quick succession.

Sunday 24 December: Mercury trine Saturn. This brings the kind of day to get truly focussed and organised, especially with paperwork, telephone calls and any demanding job that requires concentration and attention to detail. Maybe balance the cheque-book or start a new study course. Jobs commenced today may have long term obligations involved so if you are mature and keen to plant the seeds for things to grow slowly yet surely, take some action and get started today. This is also a good time to sit down and do some serious planning for your future. You will feel organised and enjoy the challenge of putting your life in order and meeting your obligations. Any new business proposal can be considered to be worth your effort or investigation.

The not so favourable days in December 2006 are:

Sunday 3 December: Sun square Uranus. Don’t count on things going as planned today, for every little hiccup can magnify and throw your life into chaos. Air travel may be disrupted or exceptionally busy and mistakes are likely to occur that interfere with the way you had wanted things to go. Have a plan B ready as more than likely you will need it. Sudden, unexpected events can occur quite rapidly and prevent an easy flow of ideas and plans. Avoid rebellious people and eccentrics as they can play havoc with your routines or your way of life. Someone in power may have their status changed or they suffer an unexpected fall.

Tuesday 5 December: Mercury square Saturn. This is not the day to make agreements as they may involve regulations and obligations that tie you up in knots. There could be some serious decisions made that affect people long after the present. The Mercurial influence could be darkened by sombre Saturn’s habit of making it difficult to see eye to eye and reach amicable agreements about any of these matters. However, those who are wise can instruct those who are not. Those who refuse to take a wider view will only alienate themselves from a comfortable position and find themselves on the other side of the wall. This though can be a good day for serious study. It is not good for purchasing land or other real estate. If you do, then make sure there are no potential problems to do with dampness or rising water levels in the area.

Friday 8 December: Venus conjunct Pluto. This does not bode well for all new relationships, friendships and is not the day to propose, get engaged or married. People can become obsessive about one another and later found to be prying into their private affairs. This is the sinister and subversive side of this aspect and can be productive of jealousy to an insane degree. Those who do choose to unite today will probably live to regret it. There will be undercurrents of resentment and hidden motives to the relationship. One may manipulate the other and this will have sinister overtones and result in pain and suffering to the victim. Also do not start any new enterprise today, especially one that involves your hard earned savings. Do not start a new business project, especially one that involves flowers, perfumes or any situation where you are expecting things to flow smoothly. Time is the great teacher, and today the lessons may be harder to swallow.

Saturday 16 December: Mercury square Uranus. A buzzing and electrically charged day so plan your agenda with plenty of room to manoeuvre when the interruptions come in. Many will find themselves mentally exhausted after a day like this and the long hot bath at the end of the day will be truly welcomed before retiring to bed. Some will just thrive though, receiving flashes like bolts of lightening entering their brainwaves. Some will come up with the most amazing insights and new inventions. Keep a pen and paper handy or a tape recorder for all those great ideas to make note of before they get lost in cyberspace. The Internet will go into overdrive too and your inbox could overflow or get blocked in some way due to over use. Plans and travel arrangement can run amok so be prepared and have an alternative route to follow. Accidents will happen for those who are unprepared for changes as they arise. Not the day to buy a computer or any other electrical item. Steer clear of potential hazards such as frayed electrical cords etc. Young people are more at risk than the elderly.

Tuesday 19 December: Sun conjunct Pluto. This is a highly volatile and explosive angle that can erupt from out of nowhere and create chaos and ruin for those who take chances with their lives and their safety. A VIP or other person of high standing may take a fall or be held accountable for some misdeed from their past. Any secrets that are buried may be re-surfaced and exposed for all to see. This will be an ugly time for some as the underworld elements of this can be exposed and create unpleasant situations for people to try to extract themselves from. Not a good day to buy a car, go into business, get married, engaged or start a new job, friendship or other personal decisions that can reflect on oneself at a later time. Be careful who you associate with and do not trust strangers. Alleyways and dark places should be avoided like the plague.

Friday 22 December: Mars square Uranus. This is highly explosive and accident prone time so do not start out on any new journey or buy a car today. Try to avoid working with heavy machinery or electrical items as something may go horribly wrong. Plans will be unsettled and errors likely to arise quite unexpectedly. Take your time if people start to get pushy or forceful. Riots can develop easily so avoid large gatherings or people who are out to start a fight. Do not make any particularly personal decisions today as this could be fraught with problems and dangerous conditions. There is the tendency for people to knee-jerk in their reactions to others if they do not get what they want or hear what they want to hear. This is an accident prone day relatively speaking. People generally won’t be co-operative and disruptive behaviour and even eccentricities will be far more intolerable to cope with than usual. Avoid those who are rebellious or anti-social for they will instigate disruptive actions that will attract problems for themselves and those around them.

Tuesday 26 December: Mercury conjunct Pluto. This is an aspect that can be interpreted as either positive or negative and the energies can swing either way depending on what it is that you are trying to accomplish. A good day to investigate any matter that you need the answer to. Riddles, puzzles and intrigues can be revealed if you pursue with relentless enthusiasm. Travel undertaken today could revolutionise your life and perhaps give you a new purpose or provide ideas on how you can transform yourself or your surroundings. Police will uncover lies or deception on a day like this and perhaps unearth some bodies, remains or relics that had been missing for years. Archaeologists too may discover some long buried artefacts that will reveal some truths or new knowledge that had been well hidden. Use this day to focus on starting or completing something of immense personal importance to you and you will be amazed at your progress.
