What Do I Want?

General overview for April 2006.

This month of April brings some interesting challenges for us to deal with, and some incredibly helpful planetary alignments that can possible open our eyes to a new way of doing things, especially with regards to the way we give and receive love.

Overall however, there are eight very helpful planetary alignments this month, compared to only five negative ones. There is also one that can tend to drift either way. The Sun will change signs by moving from Aries to Taurus, Mercury will move signs from Pisces to Aries, Venus will enter Pisces, Mars will move into Cancer, and lastly Saturn will turn direct in Leo.

Sometimes I wonder what it is that we are striving for. Occasionally you have to ask yourself “what do I want?”. Is a career the only way you can feel personal satisfaction? Is being married the only answer for some of us? Is being financially secure really that important? Well there are many and varied questions we can ask ourselves, and just as many or more different answers. Personally I believe that we can have ‘anything’ we want. I truly mean that. It is a matter of setting your priorities and going after what you want with the greatest of passion and determination. When I was quite young, I decided that the most important thing I wanted was to have children. My wish was granted. I have two loving sons whom I adore. The other most important thing I wanted was to be loved. Unfortunately that took a lot longer, in fact quite a few decades longer than I anticipated. I married for the second time just two years ago and I can honestly say that I now have all the love I need.

In next months newsletter I will reveal more about my personal life, what I wanted, what I achieved and how I feel about it all now. I would be interested to hear what other people have wanted, and whether they finally achieved it.

Now down to the specifics………………

Saturn will turn direct on 5 April which can assist those people who are mature and well organised to get back on track if things have not been that way during the previous four and a half months. The entertainment industry may now become more prosperous. Matters connected to children may take on a more serious and responsible approach, which is not a day too soon.

On Thursday 6 April Venus will enter the mystical sign of Pisces and remain in this area up until 3 May 2006. This is where Venus is in her exaltation, in other words, at her best and most compassionate. We may witness some very romantic alliances in the world or people throwing parties by the sea or reveling in mystery and magical themes. Romanticism will be very evident all around and the florist industry may thrive as may the perfumery’s or other businesses associated with beauty and the lifting of the senses. Venus will stay in this sign until 9 February, so you have plenty of time to get out there and play in the romantic stakes if your are single and fancy free. This will make the ideas of love and romance occupy many peoples minds. There could be some fairytale weddings or new relationships started under this magical and mystical sign. Some though may find the fog a bit too dense to see through and could fall prey to deception and intrigue. There will be some perfect matches and probably a fair amount of perfect mismatches too.

Friday 14 April produces a Full Moon with the Sun at 23 degrees of Aries and the Moon at 23 degrees of Libra. I always feel that this represents a clash between “I am” (typically Arian) and “us” (typically Libra. Some people may have to consider looking at a situation from the other person’s point of view, rather than their own personal priorities.

Also today Mars will enter Cancer and remain in this sign until 3 June 2006. This Cancerian influence could make us feel even more fiercely protective of our home, family and country and prepared to defend it at all costs. For those who are prone by nature to be aggressive, they may even strike out against their own during this period which will last until Mars moves into Leo on 3 June.

On Sunday 16 April Mercury will enter Aries and remain in this sign up until 5 May 2006. The news is likely to be concerned with young people, winners of races and sporting events. Air travel problems are likely and anything where speed is going to be involved. People who tend to get headaches and nervous disorders may suffer more than usual.

The life-giving Sun will move into Taurus on Thursday 20 April and remain in this sign for one whole calendar month. For a month long period there will be rigidity and stiffness associated with what some believe is the only way to go or get things done. Whilst this can be good in moderation, the side effects are that there will be little flexibility and this can cause aggravation and a one eyed view of the world. The banking and financial industries may undergo some restructuring. People will be looking for practical solutions to problems. Luxuries, materialism and comfort will be a priority for some. This can be a productive time for starting a new business, especially if you are prepared to put in the dedication of a long period of time. Quick results will not manifest during this time.

On Friday 28 April there will be a New Moon at seven degrees of Taurus. This is an ideal time to get practical and perhaps even open a new savings account. Whatever you set in motion now can be quite long-lasting.

Jupiter continues to remain retrograde and will remain in this phase up until 6 July 2006. This I feel will reflect in many and varied way according to your own unique position and beliefs about life. Jupiter has rulership over faith. This could prove to be a time when some of us will question our faith and whether it is strong enough to sustain us in trying times. The recent earthquake in Bam in Iran would have to be one of those disasters, where those who are affected, would question why this has happened to them. The beliefs may undergo scrutiny and re-assessment. Some may feel they can no longer believe what they have always believed and may have a change of heart about how they will now view their lives. Jupiter also has to do with the courts and the justice system, so here again there may be some long drawn out situations, or perhaps a decision is made that is challenged by many who disagree with the initial outcome. Some people may want the justice system changed to incorporate capital punishment, and whether this is a wise choice or not, is not for me to decide. We could also see further incidents to do with the issues surrounding euthanasia and other matters associated with death, our mortality rate, taxes, insurance and all other inevitable matters come under scrutiny due to the influence of Jupiter in Scorpio.

Pluto continues to be retrograde and remain in this phase up until 4 September 2006. Pluto is the transformer of the zodiac, and will literally turn your life around when making alignments to your own personal planets. However, when in retrograde phase it allows you the opportunity, once again to re-assess you current motives, your passions, your intimate relationships and your attitude towards, life, death, and even sex to decide if what you have chosen in recent times is for you overall good and development. Personally I prefer it when Pluto is in direct motion, but as I have said before, we can’t always have the planets where we want them or going in the direction we may prefer. Utilise this time to delve into your subconscious, go exploring your deepest psyche and uncover elements that you thought were hidden, even from yourself, and analyse them as if your life depended on it. The revelations you may experience may literally wipe your current slate clean and allow you to pursue your goals with absolute freedom when Pluto resumes direct motion in September 2006. Pluto will remain in Sagittarius until 27 November 2008. Pluto will retrograde back into Sagittarius for five months starting in June 2008 and then re-enter Capricorn in late November 2008.

For horary enthusiasts, continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception. Jupiter will continue to remain in mutual reception with Pluto all through April, right up until late November 2006.

Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.

The favourable days in April 2006 are:

Monday 3 April: Venus sextile Pluto. This is a magnificent combination and can produce a great day for those seeking true love. I adore this kind of planetary formation. If you should happen to meet a new lover today you will be radically changed overnight. This new person will seem magnetic and passionate. You may feel you have been put under a spell, and in a way you are right. This influence is deep, hypnotic and highly sexual, so expect to go into a relationship and become totally and intimately involved and very quickly too. This is also a good day to get married, start a new business enterprise, especially if it involves regeneration themes, getting fit or to do with women’s products and services.

Wednesday 5 April: Mercury trine Jupiter. This angle promises those who strive to see the bigger picture will do so and teach those who listen how to find it themselves. A great day to start a holiday or travel to places previously unseen. This could prove to be a great day to start writing a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. Also a favourable day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved. Expansion is the key-word for the day, so plan to make this as positive a time as possible. A busy day for the travel industry and Internet.

Sunday 9 April. Sun sextile Neptune. This is one of those days that will seem magical to those who are open and attuned to the cosmic vibrations around them. A positively inspiring day and one that will be long remembered as a day that brings the beautiful side of nature and life to our attention and the recognition that there are great wonders all around us, each and every day, if we just open our eyes and senses. Spend some time relaxing near the ocean and it will soothe your tired or restless soul. Music will be inspirational and those who are gifted in this area may create some magical lyrics or tunes. Opening a store selling musical or artistic products should fare well.

Monday 17 April: Sun trine Pluto. This can prove to be a great time to try to remake yourself or change your spots, if you need to. A day to spring clean, get rid of the old and outworn and be refreshed by the newness of starting out on a different path. Someone in power may take a gigantic leap forward or be presented with an offer that almost seems too good to be true, but it will ultimately change the course of their destiny. A wonderful day to get married or start a new enterprise that involves reform or renovation in some way. If you wish to pull down the walls and rebuild them, this is the best time to do it. New relationships formed today, whether friendship or intimate, will literally put your life into a different perspective and possibly change your life forever.

Tuesday 18 April: Venus conjunct Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a startling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment. (Please note that there is also a clash between Mercury and Mars today).

Thursday 20 April: Mercury trine Saturn. This brings the kind of day to get truly focussed and organised, especially with paperwork, telephone calls and any demanding job that requires concentration and attention to detail. Maybe balance the cheque-book or start a new study course. Jobs commenced today may have long term obligations involved so if you are mature and keen to plant the seeds for things to grow slowly yet surely, take some action and get started today. This is also a good time to sit down and do some serious planning for your future. You will feel organised and enjoy the challenge of putting your life in order and meeting your obligations. Any new business proposal can be considered to be worth your effort or investigation.

Friday 21 April: Venus trine Jupiter. This is a brilliant day for getting engaged, married or starting a new romance or friendship. This is also good for opening a new business, especially if it is connected to women’s products, entertainment, the travel industry or foreign relations. Throwing a lavish party will also meet with success, though could be very costly. Starting a long distance journey, voyage or holiday could put you on a new learning curve and would be highly enjoyable and may result in a new love interest in your life, if you are single and fancy free.

Saturday 29 April: Sun sextile Mars. This is fortunate for those wishing to push their own barrows and get out there to achieve some recognition or fame for their talents. Also a good day to buy a car or other electrical or electronic gadgets or machinery. Any business started that incorporates any of these items would be started under promising star patterns today. A gym opened today will attract a large following as would an automotive repair shop or other mechanical enterprise. Someone in the sporting or athletic industry may be seen to achieve a new record or be in the news celebrating their victory.

Sunday 30 April: Mercury sextile Neptune. This is a wonderful alignment for us fragile human beings, especially if we wish to tune into the cosmos and see what is really there. This can be a brilliant day to tune in and discover some amazing enlightenment as to our place in the scheme of things. New publications released today will do well, especially if they can incorporate some measure of mystery in their stories. Starting a new book with a focus on the mysteries of the universe, dreams or psychic phenomena will turn out very well. Travel brochures will be eagerly snapped up today and bookings made for overseas destinations with great enthusiasm. The travel industry will have a busy day moving people from A to B in quick succession. (Please also note the clash between Venus and Pluto today).

The not so favourable days in April 2006 are:

Saturday 8 April: Mars opposition Pluto. This is the most volatile aspect we have in April and can be connected with potential war threats in the world. Both Mars and Pluto have a rulership over death and violence, so this is not the time to walk alone in a dark alley nor take chances with your life, risk your safety or meet with strangers. The air can be explosive and deep resentments can build from encounters made today that have sinister intentions. Don’t start a new business or friendship today and make every attempt to avoid people and places of shady character, or large groups of angry people.

Friday 14 April: Mercury square Pluto. This is an aspect that will test those who are trying to push their wares or ideas on others, for resistance will be felt, which could be very subtle and hidden from view. Documents, alarming news and propaganda will claim the mass attention in some way so be alert and read everything thoroughly that you have to sign. Preferably wait for a more fortunate time to commence any new undertaking, especially if it involves taxes, insurance, or other joint monetary ventures. We need to guard against being manipulated or coerced into something we would rather not do. People who insist on digging up old matters from the past will find they cannot heal their wounds just yet, as it is too painful or confronting. There are likely to by many communications that should be mistrusted, whether verbal, e-mail or by letter. Documents may be misleading or have loop holes that are indiscernible. Agreements are unlikely or will be fraught with problems.

Tuesday 18 April: Mercury square Mars. This is not the day to buy a new car, start a new business or take on more than you can handle. Some people may make hasty or rash decisions, and will wish they hadn't very soon after. Some people may stretch the brawn or the brain, or both, and end up with sore muscles or a headache. I would not advise starting a long road or rail journey. The news may not be what we want to hear and bad news tends to travel fast on days like this too. Also don't expect people to be patient or tolerant today and do not attempt to reach amicable agreements as people just won't be in the mood, or just too rushed to listen. Some people may not take enough care with their speech, taking one foot out of the mouth only to replace it with the other foot just as quickly. (Please also note the Venus/Uranus alignment today).

Tuesday 25 April: Sun square Saturn. This alignment turns the attention to practical and realistic matters which may seem onerous right now. Someone in power may suffer some defeat or loss. I tend to consider this alignment as a not so helpful vibration, unless one is very mature and has managed their life successfully to date. This influence is not conducive to asking for a raise, getting married, taking on a new job, starting a new business or even going for an interview. Chances are there will be problems, delays, restrictions or other depressing conditions to cope with if you try to tackle difficult problems on a day like this. No new ventures should be decided upon or started to avoid problems that could last for many years to come. This can be a disappointing day if you plan to make any significant personal decision that affects your well-being and your future plans. This can have long-term ramifications so choose wisely. Not the day to approach the boss for a raise, as people in power are prone to be unreachable. There can be barriers or walls to challenge those who try to make peaceful negotiations, so refrain from these today where possible. An elderly person or a VIP may be in the news and showing concern for their safety or position. Someone in power or politics or royalty may lose their status or standing in the community.

Sunday 30 April: Venus square Pluto. Not the best kind of day to start a new romance, friendship, or get engaged or married. Hidden motives or jealousy could set the tone for a disastrous relationship, so avoid those tall dark strangers who surround themselves in mystery and intrigue. Do not trust anyone you meet for the first time, no matter how enticing it may seem. You could get caught in the black widow spider’s web of deceit and corruption. Some people may violate others rights and con them into believing they are onto something wonderful, however the wolf in sheep’s clothing is very near the door. People who harbour grudges will be on every corner so avoid and entanglement that shows any sign whatsoever of someone who is bitter or twisted in any way. This may however, be hard to pinpoint due the deceptive element of this planetary pattern. (Please also not the lovely Mercury/Neptune alignment operating today).
