Life - A Personal Choice

Despite what the 'powers that be' have decided for us here on the beautiful planet Earth, we still can go about our own personal life and achieve our goals. The war against Iraq is a development I knew was inevitable, though I also knew it could have been avoided. As I have said in an earlier newsletter, 'there is always another option'.

It is up to us individually to find our own happiness in life, to make our own choices and decide how we will enjoy our time here. I consider that life is a personal choice. We can enjoy it by making our own choices, or we can allow ourselves to be dictated to, go to war, and perhaps not come back. Still this is a choice. If I had the option of going to war, I would say no. That's the bottom line.

I have personally decided that I want to enjoy my lifetime. Each and every day I make time to do something I really love doing. It may only be for an hour and this for me usually just means a dip in the ocean and some sunbaking. If the weather does not offer such wondrous moments, then I may read a book, watch a video or pamper myself with a long hot bath and put on some favourite perfume. Every day has to count. Every day has to be memorable. Otherwise what am I here for?

Also I enjoy going to my computer, reading the e-mails from friends and seeing new entries in my guestbook by people who flatter me enormously and lift my spirits if I am feeling a little down. There are always requests for the free destiny links and dream interpretations to do. Each day I take time to enjoy myself and also give my time freely to people who visit my website.

Once a week I write my astrological weekly forecast and once a month I write this newsletter. I do not get paid for any of this. This is what I love. However I am seeking to get a column in a newspaper or magazine and have approached many Australian publications during the past few months. I constantly send faxes to these companies and one day I believe I will achieve my goal. In the meantime, I make every day special in some way.

The heavens offer us some changes this month, so lets make the best use of this, every single day, for the rest of our lives.

Jupiter turns from retrograde motion into direct motion in Leo on Friday 4 April. This tends to put the spotlight on the entertainment industry, members of various royal families and the price of gold shares. We could see someone of prominence finally take a step forward in the direction they wish to go, especially in relation to something that has been thwarted during the past four months or so. Lavish entertaining will be seen as the way to go, and all sorts of big productions will tend to prove successful. Movies released during the next five months will tend to go over budget or focus on mammoth ways of gaining the public's attention. A VIP or member of royalty may be in the news more than usual and they may find themselves in the spotlight either because of their new decisions or due to some involvement with someone in the entertainment or television industry. Gold shares will no doubt rise yet again, and put a smile on investor's faces. Those who feel they have been hiding their light under a bushel may now have the confidence to put their best foot forward and feel much more optimistic about themselves, their future and their pet projects.

Mercury enters Taurus on Sunday 6 April and remains in this sign for a prolonged time (ten weeks), due to its retrograde phase in late April to mid May. This will see a focus on financial matters, financial institutions such as banks and building societies and interest rates. The positives are that some people can use this time for serious mental concentration and get things done if they plod away long enough. Thoughts of stabilisation will be uppermost in various people's minds. Someone connected with the arts may be in the news and receiving lots of attention. The negatives are that some will become opinionated and stubborn in their thinking and unable to move beyond their philosophical boundaries that are set in concrete. Some people will be immovable and unshakeable from their roots or their home turf.

The life giving Sun moves into Taurus on Sunday 20 April and this will add to the above theme of Mercury also in this sign. For a month long period there will be rigidity and stiffness associated with what some believe is the only way to go or get things done. Whilst this can be good in moderation, the side effects are that there will be little flexibility and this can cause aggravation and a one eyed view of the world. The banking and financial industries may undergo some restructuring. People will be looking for practical solutions to problems. Luxuries, materialism and comfort will be a priority for some. This can be a productive time for starting a new business, especially if you are prepared to put in the dedication of a long period of time. Quick results will not manifest during this time.

Venus enters Aries on Tuesday 22 April for a period of about 25 days, and during this time we may witness many and varied new romances that can start quickly and go very swiftly and hastily through the motions towards a quick end. Dynamic sales pitches that involve appealing to the senses and to physical attraction, passion and romance can catch public attention at this time. The hairdressing industry may have a boom time and find they are in the spotlight for some reason. The fashion industry may take on a bold and daring tone so be prepared for colourful, full on and striking displays. Social gatherings that incorporate much glitter and glamour and sparkle will be successful. Artists and musicians can be highly productive during this time.

Mars enters Aquarius on Tuesday 22 April and this can bring a focus on people doing things their own unique way, right or wrong. Stubbornness may be demonstrated in various avenues and those who are headstrong will not be swayed by anyone. The positives are that this is a humanitarian sign and those whose motives are for the overall good of mankind will also be unwilling to bend or be distracted from their cause. Team work or group work will be more emphatically pursued rather than going it alone, though there can be the odd spanner in the works to liven things up a little, as some will not want to follow the rules. Freedom of movement will be paramount for some and this will be fought for if necessary. The scientific world may spearhead some new invention or gadgets. The computer industry will be in full swing and the Internet will be highly active and many will use this medium to express their opinions to the wider world.

On the negative side, riots are also likely to occur and can quickly become violent and angry. Revolutionaries will be out there and standing up to be counted. The established order of doing things will be seen as too narrowing and restrictive. There will be many rebellious and unorthodox methods used to gain what is desired.

Mercury turns retrograde on Saturday 26 April for a period of 25 days. This can bring all manner of glitches associated with communications of all kinds and possible transport dilemmas. See my main article called 'Mercury Retrograde' on my website for further details.

For horary enthusiasts, the unpredictable planet Uranus will be in mutual reception with mystical Neptune from now up until 16 September 2003. On that date Uranus will then re-enter its own sign of Aquarius by retrograde motion and remain in there until 31 December 2003, before moving forward again into Pisces. Up until 16 September, those who sincerely wish to see beyond the reality of the three dimensional world can do so with ease during this time. Psychics, mediums and visionaries may actually be startled themselves as to just how far they can 'see'. There will be many highly gifted and talented mystics and clairvoyants 'discovered' or come into prominence during this time. The focus of the world will be away from the materialistic and more towards a more enlightened spirituality than ever before. People will be seeking 'real' answers from what appears to be an 'unreal' world. The mysteries of life will be fathomed and explained by some who have the insight to see the bigger picture and understand what it is that we all have always wanted to know.

Matters to do with DNA will be discussed and spotlighted, and some revealing insights and discoveries made that will alter many people's previous notions or misconceptions about life. There may also be some startling revelations, discoveries or news related to outer space and life on other planets. We may have to broaden our minds and accept that we are not the only intelligent life form in this vast Universe. A face to face encounter with people from other galaxies is likely to occur and some people here may have great difficulty accepting this.

Overall there are eight favourable planetary patterns, and only five unfavourable alignments which gives us scope for making the right decisions that much easier.

Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.

The favourable days in April 2003 are:

Wednesday 2 April 2003. Mercury sextile Saturn. This is the kind of day to get truly focussed and organised, especially with paperwork, telephone calls and any demanding job that requires concentration and attention to detail. Maybe balance the cheque book or start a new study course. Jobs commenced today may have long term obligations involved so if you are mature and keen to plant the seeds for things to grow slowly yet surely, take some action and get started today. As there is also a New Moon in Aries, this gives added energy and enthusiasm to new beginnings. This is also a good time to sit down and do some serious planning for your future. You will feel organised and enjoy the challenge of putting your life in order and meeting your obligations. Any new business proposal can be considered to be worth your effort and investigation.

Thursday 3 April 2003. Sun sextile Neptune. A wonderful day to let your imagination wander and be inspired be what you feel in your bones. People in general may seem more easily approachable and more likely to lend a helping hand than at other times. Mystics, musicians and artists can produce their best works today and feel they are being given plenty of guidance or hunches to make this a memorable day in more ways than one. A great day to open a music store or an art gallery. People will be more in tune with the Cosmos and alert to the subtle messages of the Universe and nature. This can also be a wonderful day to start a fairytale romance or to get married.

Sunday 6 April 2003. Mercury sextile Uranus. An electrifying day so don't plan to do the routine things, instead dare to do something different, even a bit wild, and it will be appreciated by those watching. A good day for inventors, and those who wish to make use of the element of surprise in their works or projects they want to get off the ground in an unusual way. Writers may be given great insight in the best way to present their stories. Take the day off and go out searching for the unknown or unseen and you will be pleased with what you experience.

Thursday 10 April 2003. Sun trine Pluto. This is a great time to try to remake yourself or change your spots, if you need to. A day to spring clean, get rid of the old and outworn and be refreshed by the newness of starting out on a new path. Someone in power may take a gigantic leap forward or be presented with an offer that almost seems too good to be true, but it will ultimately change the course of their destiny. A wonderful day to get married or start some new enterprise that involves reform or renovation in any way. If you wish to pull down the walls and rebuild them, this is the best time to do it. New relationships formed today, whether friendship or intimate, will literally put your life into a different perspective and possible change your life forever. (Also note the unfavourable Mercury square Jupiter angle on the same day and blend the differing energies accordingly).

Thursday 15 April 2003. Sun sextile Saturn. You could approach the boss and ask for a raise if you need it today and more than likely, if you have been towing the line all along, they will assist you in whatever way you choose. An long term goals you set in motion will succeed even if they do take a bit of time to warm up, so to speak. If you can sustain the time, energy and be prepared to put in the hard yakka over a long period you will see the results come to fruition just as you wish. Friendships formed today could last forever. There is nothing fleeting about today.

Monday 21 April 2003. Venus sextile Mars. What a great day to have a party, get engaged or married or open a business aimed at matchmaking or anything that involves partnerships or relationships in any way. Focussing on the elements of attraction, beauty and sex appeal will be what grabs the mind and emotions of the general public. So if you want to launch a sexy new perfume or aftershave, get it set in motion today.

Tuesday 22 April 2003. Sun sextile Uranus. A buzzing type of day when people will be looking for the out of the ordinary in every sense of the word. So keep a keen eye out for what is unusual or unique and the promise that goes with it will bring excitement and change into your life. If you ever wanted to register that invention to the patents office, do it today for a guarantee of success. Someone in power or in the public eye may launch a surprise or two on the rest of us. This could come from a person of royalty. If you get married or engaged today, or even start a new romance of friendship, it will be very different to what you have known before and open your eyes to new possibilities and ways of doing things.

Tuesday 29 April 2003. Venus trine Jupiter. This is the most perfect day for getting engaged, married or starting a new romance or friendship. Also great for opening a new business, especially if is connected to women's products, entertainment, the travel industry or foreign relations. Throwing a lavish party will also meet with success, though could be very costly. Starting a long distance journey or voyage or holiday would prove to put you on a new learning curve and would be highly enjoyable and could also result in a new love interest in your life if you are single and fancy free.

The not so favourable days in April 2003 are:

Thursday 10 April 2003. Mercury square Jupiter. This can be a difficult day if you are trying to persuade someone over to your point of view. Messages and information could be blown out of all proportion and precipitate animosity and disagreements about what is fundamentally right. Differences of opinion regarding legal matters can cause headaches and unnecessary worry or concern. Make sure you have all the facts to hand before going off half cocked and making things worse for yourself. A solicitor or magistrate may step beyond their correct boundaries and have to answer to someone in a higher authority. People who tell lies today may have to undo it all at a later time. Don't strike out against the legal system of those who work for the good of mankind as chances are you will either be misunderstood, misinterpreted or be given incorrect advice. Don't attempt to settle matters easily or within a short time frame. The police force and people working in courts may have a particularly stressful time, or matters just seem to drag on or some problems seem to be buried under mountains of paperwork. (Also note the favourable Sun/Pluto aspect on the same day, and make allowances for this).

Sunday 13 April 2003. Venus square Pluto. Not the best kind of day to start a new romance, friendship, or get engaged or married. Hidden motives or jealousy could set the tone for a disastrous relationship, so avoid those tall dark strangers who surround themselves in mystery and intrigue. Do not trust anyone you meet for the first time, no matter how enticing it may seem. You could get caught in the black widow spider's web of deceit and corruption. Some people may violate others rights and con them into believing they are onto something wonderful, however the wolf in sheep's clothing is very near the door. People who harbour grudges will be on every corner so avoid and entanglement that shows any sign whatsoever of someone who is bitter or twisted in any way. This may however, be hard to pinpoint due the deceptive element of this planetary pattern.

Thursday 17 April 2003. Venus square Saturn. Another day not to walk down the aisle unless you wish to be let down and disappointed in a big way. The air is filled with distance and coldness so don't attempt to make up with your lover if you have had a fight, as they will not want to hear your plight and may just turn their back and walk the other way. Friendships and new romances will no get off to a good start and may involve heavy responsibilities later on or you find out you have to look after them more than is healthy. Not a good day to start a new business as the setbacks and delays may curtail your freedom and not be worth the effort applied.

Friday 18 April 2003. Sun square Mars. Not a day to speed down the highway ignorant of other drivers on the road. Not a good day to travel and, in particular, in any vehicle that will take risks or go too fast. Not a day to even go on a risky amusement park ride as something may just go wrong. This is an accident prone day so do not buy a new car or other machinery, or attempt to cross the road when there is lots of traffic. Some people will go off half cocked and end up red faced if they try stepping on other people's toes unnecessarily. Someone in power may have some difficult problems to deal with that arise suddenly and have to be resolved without blinking. People will not be patient or feel like waiting around on a day like this. Definitely not a good day to start any new friendship, romance or get married or go into a business partnership.

Wednesday 30 April 2003. Sun square Jupiter. Not the kind of day to make promises you may find hard to keep or to try to talk or discuss philosophical issues with those in positions of power or associated with the legal sector of society. Some human rights may be violated on a day like this. Not the kind of day to be caught up in a big crowd as things can get out of hand and problems arise do to large gatherings of people, especially near large buildings or law courts. Do not start any new business venture unless you have a lot of capital to back you up when things don't pan out as much, or as soon as you had hoped for. I also would not recommend getting married as it may prove to be a big and heavy burden involving more than you can safely or adequately handle.
