Always Look Forward
The Universe has conjured up a total of 8 positive alignments this month compared with only 3 potentially difficult ones.
This whole month is relatively well aligned for us to make some headway in our lives and to create a more harmonious existence for ourselves on a very personal level. The focus that has been on the sign of Cancer, which is associated with the past and memories is now moving towards that of the sign of Leo, which is a totally different vibration. This new set of planetary conditions will commence firstly with Mercury, then the Sun and then Venus entering Leo at different days this month. Overall, the influence of moving away from past habits, memories and things that tend to make us want to cling and feel warm and protected, moves towards a more independent and outgoing way of wanting to be singled out for our individuality, and what separates us from one another. The sign of Leo likes to be noticed and appreciated and admired. To do this we have to be our individual selves, glowing, shining brightly and letting others see our best colours. Therefore I consider this time a phase were we can more confidently always look forward, rather than dwell on what has been and gone.

Saturday 5 July 2003: Venus moves into Cancer and as this sign is a home loving one, and also relates to how we feel about our country or home environment, we may notice that we become aware of what we love and cherish about these matters. This can bring out our nurturing and protective instincts more so than usual. This can reflect in positive developments within families to harmonise their relationships and make one another feel loved and comforted. Our sense of loving can be influenced by the sensitivity of this water sign and bring out the best in our capacities to be warm and protective of those we love, our home, hearth and country. This three week period can be a favourable time to redecorate the nest and make it more comfortable and homely.
Sunday 13 July Mercury moves into Leo and this could focus lots of newsy items connected to the television and movie industry or perhaps focussing on matters to do with children and their welfare. An orphanage or children's hospital may receive more focus or notoriety than usual. A young person from a royal background or who is the child of a famous celebrity or other VIP may also be in the news.
Monday 14 July 2003: Full Moon. (Sun in Cancer/Moon in Capricorn). There could be some clashes of opinion regarding cultural and traditional views around this time. The age gap can also widen and cause barriers when attempting to relate to each other successfully. There may be some insensitivity to the matters the community wish to bring to the attention of people in high places.
Wednesday 23 July the Sun moves into Leo and this can bring about a focus on gold shares, entertainment, parties and big celebratory events involving showbiz and lots of glamorously dressed people out strutting their stuff. Not the time to hide your light under a bushel, but rather put your best threads on and show the world your real talents. Someone in power may become hugely popular during this month long phase and there may also be some spotlight shining more brightly on one of the Royal family. Having fun and enjoying oneself may be the tune during this time.
Tuesday 29 July 2003: Venus moves into Leo and if you want to impress someone, perhaps by throwing a huge and lavish party, do it during this three and half week period and it will be hugely successful. Those who focus on glamour, beauty, fashion, art, music and theatre will be able to harmonise with this duration of Venus in this sign. There may also be some love unions that hit the headlines because of the spectacular entrance they make at a grand occasion. Someone in royalty may declare their love for someone. Those in the entertainment industry will be busy and productive during this time and we may see a focus on romantic movies more than any other style. Some people may tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Tuesday 29 July 2003: Mars turns retrograde for approximately 8 weeks. Mars can indicate high energy when moving forward, however during this next few months some may find it more than usually difficult to direct their energies in the manner they wish or they are held back and unable to demonstrate their strength and abilities in a natural way. Anger may build into resentments and some people may inadvertently become their own worst enemy if they are unable to harness the energies adequately. Explosive outbursts may occur at the wrong time and amongst the worst types of people and their scenarios. The automotive industry may be sluggish during this time.

Tuesday 1 July 2003: Jupiter trine Pluto and Mercury trine Uranus. Firstly regarding the wonderful Jupiter/Pluto alignment, this aspect also occurred last October. We can utilise the energies of these planets to bring about improvement in our lives and re-energise previous plans that were started last year. We can change our spots, re-invent ourselves or start some mammoth project that will prove successful and change the existing order of things. This can be a time of radical transformation if we choose to make use of this by broadening our minds and our future plans to accommodate more and more of the views of other cultures and philosophies into our daily lives. A good day to challenge ourselves in as many ways as possible. We may be able to see the bigger picture if we could just stand back a bit and observe the truth of what lay before our eyes.
Also today is the electrical energy combination of Mercury trine Uranus. The grey matter can be stimulated and some will have flashes of insight into previously tricky problems. A good day to try to solve a puzzle or attempt some brainstorming. New ideas could revolutionise existing thoughts and make headway for some exciting news. There could be some new discoveries or inventions arise in the course of the day, and those who are the geniuses on the planet will also be inspired more than usual. A good day to open a communications or other business involved in the transference of information or ideas. Starting or even launching a new book could also prove highly successful and grab the attention of those seeking something new and different. Wednesday 2 July 2003: Mercury trine Mars. This is a high energy day on a mental level so people will want to voice their opinions or be vocal about what they consider important. A good day to start a new business that requires huge doses of both intellect and muscle. Also a good time to take a hike, enter a marathon run, or join up with a group of young people to swap ideas on how to get and stay fit and healthy. This is also a time to become organised with your filing system, conquer the mountain of paperwork and then let off steam later in the gym for some muscle flexing.
Sunday 6 July 2003: Sun conjunct Mercury. This will tend to bring an influx of information into our faces and those who are anxious or nervous may feel the strain more than others. Some though will thrive on this sort of day where communication is the name of the game and everyone is buzzing and chatting. Phone companies will be busy today, as will the Internet, so don't expect downloads to happen as quickly as you would like, as there will be many people seeking information and trying to send it too.
Monday 7 July 2003: Venus trine Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a starling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment.

Those who seek to discover what lies beneath the surface of things will be pleasantly surprised with what they find. Saturday 26 July 2003: Mercury conjunct Jupiter. This could be a great day to travel, start a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. A good day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project or a book. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations or companies that benefits everyone involved.

Tuesday 1 July 2003: Mercury conjunct Saturn. This uniting of Mercury with Saturn in the sign of Cancer and this can provide ample time to start long term planning around issues of family, home and domestic matters and to do with one's country or origin. There could be some serious decisions made that affect people long after the present. The Mercurial influence could be darkened by sombre Saturn's habit of making it difficult to see eye to eye and reach amicable agreements about any of these matters. However, those who are wise can instruct those who are not. Some people may seek outside counselling to restore family harmony. Those who refuse to take a wider view will only alienate themselves from a comfortable position and find themselves on the other side of the wall. This though can be a good day for serious study or for purchasing land and other real estate. Just make sure there are no potential problems to do with dampness or rising water levels in the area. Tuesday 8 July 2003: Venus conjunct Saturn. Not a good day to get married, start a new relationship or go on a first date. Any one of these will be productive of delays, limitations or productive of burdens and other difficulties that will be hard to overcome. People will tend to be hard to reach or fathom or understand. Barriers that tend to divide will be more noticeable than usual. Do not start a new business today, especially if it involves women's products, beauty, music or the arts. Not a good day to try to reach amicable agreements, especially with those near and dear to you.
Sunday 19 July 2003: Mercury opposition Neptune. This is one of those potentially deceitful days when people can easily colour over their mistakes and present a picture that is marred inside and out, if you would only lift the veil of elusion to view the ugly and distorted truth. It is wise not to sign any important documents on a day like this as there will be more loopholes than in a fishnet. Those who generally tend to give people the benefit of the doubt will prove to be the most vulnerable. Do not believe all you read or hear today as there will be lies and deception running rampant.
