Astrological Poetry In Motion
General overview for September 2006.
This month of September is going to be what I call ‘astrological poetry in motion’.
I want you to stop and think for a moment about where you live. Not the town or the country, but the planet. This is Earth and we revolve around the Sun. All of the planets revolve around the Sun. It is like we are going in circles, or, as I said earlier, astrological poetry in motion. That is what the planets are doing. They are going in circles around the Sun. We humans too go around in circles, in our own unique lifetimes. We, as a part of the human race, are on this lovely planet, and it is going in circles around the Sun. Therefore, we are going to find that some things come around more than once, and other events will be a one in a lifetime opportunity. It all depends on when you were born and where all the planets were positioned in your natal chart.
Gradually the planets move around the natal chart wheel, forming progressed aspects to our natal chart. Some of these progressed aspects will repeat themselves, such as the progressed Moon conjunct the Sun, which will occur at intervals of approximately every 28 years or so. Some progressed aspects will occur just once. Just once in your lifetime you may have the opportunity to have a really good time. Or perhaps your chart is difficult and you experience the worst time in your life. However, the Earth still revolves around the Sun and the planets keep moving, eternally.
Where am I going with all this? Well, I feel it is important to know your own personal natal chart inside and out. Then if you can calculate your progressed aspects, or find an astrologer to do this for you, you will become aware of the once in a lifetime planetary alignments that are going to activate your chart, either positively, or negatively. It is really handy to know when the best times are coming, and also the not so good ones.

There are 8 helpful planetary alignments, and one that can go either way, compared to only 7 not so helpful ones. This is going to be an interesting month.
Now down to the specifics………………
On Tuesday 5 September Pluto turns direct. The mighty planet Pluto finally decides to get its act together and move into forward motion, so if you have been mulling over things associated with your past and attempting to set things right and rid yourself of excess baggage, whether that be emotional, or in your accumulation of goods in your home, you may now have a breakthrough and be able to move ahead in a much freer state of mind as if you have wiped the slate clean once and for all. It is time to leave the past in the past, move forward with confidence and a new philosophy that will be more appropriate to your current status and position in life. Some of us will have grown and become more mature during the retrograde phase and rehashed over many things from our memories that have haunted us and held us back. Now we can rise again, like the Phoenix, and start a whole new era. Pluto is the transformer, so this now heralds the time to get things moving. I personally am always so much more positive when Pluto is moving in direct motion. It is then that I feel things are on track. Pluto has nearly completed its transit through the sign Sagittarius and therefore those of us who have undergone some alteration in our beliefs and views on life are pretty much settled with this now. Pluto will remain in Sagittarius until 27th November 2008. It will actually dip into the first degree of Capricorn in January 2008 and then slightly retrograde back into Sagittarius in June 2008 for a very brief stay of just five months and then proceed full steam ahead into Capricorn in November 2008.
On Wednesday 6 September Venus enters Virgo and remains in this sign up until the end of this month. During this time, we may notice that health issues are of more importance to some, especially matters involving hygiene and cleanliness. This would be a good time to start a cookery course, especially one that may lead to an income as a chef or restaurant owner. Some people can become quite materialist during this time and put this ahead of their love lives. It is likely to be a slump period for weddings, as we become fussier about what we want, or don’t want, in relationships.
On Friday 8 September there will be a Full Moon with the Sun at 15 degrees of Virgo and the Moon at 15 degrees of Pisces. If you have personal points at this degree you can anticipate that something you have been seeking the answer to will suddenly come to light, though in a very mysterious way. It is a time to look past the apparent facade and see what magic and clarity of vision we can experience.
Also today Mars enters Libra and remains in this sign up until 23 October, and this will ignite the fires of passion and some relationships will feel the heat and come to an abrupt end. The issues of justice and fair play will be hotly debated and peace-making attempts can be stifled by egos getting in the way of decency and the right thing to do.
On Wednesday 13 September Mercury enters Libra and will remain in this sign up until 2 October. This is the sign of balance, justice, unity, partnerships, and putting things in order. This 20 day duration can bring about major discussions concerning any of these matters. The newspapers will literally be eating up any juicy items connected to those who step out of the boundaries of the law. Young people may also head for the altar to declare their feelings of love, more so than usual. It is a time to see the other’s point of view and to reach amicable agreements.
There will be a New Moon on Friday 22 October at 29 degrees of Virgo. This can put the spotlight on the health, medicine, hospital and food industries or places where cleanliness and good hygiene is important.
On Saturday 23 October the Sun will enter Libra and remain in this sign for one whole calendar month. This month long transit is the natural time of the year to start a significant new relationship, as the sign of Libra specifically relates to unions of all kinds. It is also a time when we can achieve unity, if that is what we truly want. This month long transit by the Sun will put the spotlight on the romantic affairs of those in the Royal families around the world and also on various VIP’s and their relationships. It is also a time when people want to see justice done and so some issues may reach the headlines to do with people in the courtrooms, trying to reach reconciliation. It is possible that some situations may actually come to fruition and be resolved once and for all. We may see the beginnings of some new relationships making the headlines or agreements are reached on previously contentious issues. There will be a focus on peace-making and resolutions to prior conflict. A balance in power is possible.
On Saturday 30 September Venus will enter her own sign of Libra and remain there up until 24 October. This will put the focus on justice etc and we may hear of some VIP partnerships being announced, special engagements or peace agreements. This peace-loving sign can bring harmony to areas that have been discordant in the past and people can be mended of their broken hearts or dreams. The fashion industry may also show us some lovely and elegant and/or expensive designs. Those opening businesses focussing on beauty, women’s products and services will fare better than at any other time.
Uranus is still retrograde and will continue in this phase up until mid November 2006. Uranus is the inventor and the discoverer of places beyond our imagination. We may try to re-discover how we can tap into our own unique imagination and realise our true potential and capabilities. We may have denied some of the things that could be and now we may investigate and discover what really is possible.
Neptune continues to be retrograde and will remain in this phase up until almost the end of October 2006. Neptune is the planet of high ideals and elusion. It is also the planet that dissolves situations including ice, icebergs, snow and hail. It can also produce mud slides. This planet was the pivotal planet in the event chart of the landslide in Thredbo. Whilst Jupiter retrograde may have seen many of us go through of period of questioning whether we have enough faith to sustain us, Neptune retrograde may lead some of us to question our ideals and our views on reality. This is also the planet related to drugs and alcohol. There may be far more people finding secret places to hide their trade, and this will make it harder to track those bringing illegal substances in and out of the various countries.

Between 13 September and 30 September Mercury will be in Libra (which Venus rules), and Venus will be in Virgo (which Mercury rules), which means they will be in mutual reception during that time. Jupiter will continue to remain in mutual reception with Pluto all through September, right up until late November. Continuing also is the mutual reception of Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces.
Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.
The favourable days in September 2006 are:
Friday 1 September: Sun conjunct Mercury. This is called a combust situation, where a planet is so close to the Sun that the Sun can literally burn up the other planet. This can cause a congestion of information on telephone lines, faxes, e-mails and even face to face communications, where one person is just not hearing the other or cannot seem to reach an agreement or get their heads together on the same issue. Postpone any really important negotiations until a better day. Those who are fast paced mentally will enjoy a day like this and they will not be agitated by the influx of interruptions or extra communications because they will literally thrive on it. At least they will not have a boring day. The rest of us will be somewhat frazzled by the end of the day and be seeking some quiet time away from the demands of this modern world. As this conjunction occurs in the sign of Virgo, there may be more of an emphasis on precision, exactness, systematic organization, practicality and even matters associated with cleanliness and hygiene.
Also today: Venus trine Pluto. This is a magnificent combination and can produce a great day for those seeking true love. I adore this kind of planetary formation. If you should happen to meet a new lover under this influence you will be radically changed overnight. This new person will seem magnetic and passionate. You may feel you have been put under a spell, and in a way you are right. This influence is deep, hypnotic and highly sexual, so expect to go into a relationship and become totally and intimately involved, and very quickly too. Also a good day to get married, start a new business enterprise especially if it involves regeneration themes, getting fit or to do with women’s products and services.
Monday 4 September: Mercury sextile Jupiter. This could prove to be a great day to travel, start a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. A good day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project or a book. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved.
Thursday 7 September: Sun sextile Jupiter. This is a beautiful alignment of the life-giving Sun with expansive Jupiter. It can provide us with the inspiration and faith to get any new endeavour under way with enthusiasm and sincerity of purpose. Open an entertainment centre or have a huge banquet or festival then and it will go off like a rocket to the Moon. This is also a good day to get married, start new friendships and any project involved with gold, glamour or places of amusement or the publishing industry. It is also one of the better kind of planetary times to commence just about anything that is important to you. A new store or business opening today would do well if focussed on books, publishing, the travel industry or to do with the law. If you strive for success on a day like this you are likely to achieve your goal. This is also a good time to start an overseas holiday.
Saturday 16 September: Mercury conjunct Mars. I always feel that this influence can be used either positively or negatively. On the more positive note, this can be a high energy day on a mental level so people will want to voice their opinions or be vocal about what they consider important. A good day to start a new business that requires huge doses of both intellect and muscle. Also a good time to take a hike, enter a marathon run, or join up with a group of young people to swap ideas on how to get and stay fit and healthy. This is also a time to become organised with your filing system, conquer the mountain of paperwork and then let off steam later in the gym for some muscle flexing. However, on the down side, this can produce an argumentative influence. Some people will open their mouths before putting the brain into gear. Some will go off half-cocked, speak rashly or incite argument and conflict. Not the day to start a fight with any close friendships or relationships as heated words can be felt for a long time after this and lead to resentment and loathing. Hurt feelings will go deep and be remembered. Be wise and stick to routine and don’t travel unless you absolutely have to. Do not buy a car or speed if driving. Accidents can happen at the most inconvenient time and if you are in a hurry, slow down, despite how late you will be. You will eventually get there if you can just focus on being the tortoise rather than the hare.
Tuesday 19 September: Venus sextile Jupiter. This is a brilliant day for getting engaged, married or starting a new romance or friendship. Also good for opening a new business, especially if it is connected to women’s products, entertainment, the travel industry or foreign relations. Throwing a lavish party will also meet with success, though could be very costly. Starting a long distance journey, voyage or holiday could put you on a new learning curve and would be highly enjoyable and may result in a new love interest in your life, if you are single and fancy free.
Saturday 23 September: Mercury trine Neptune. This is a wonderful alignment for us fragile human beings, especially if we wish to tune into the cosmos and see what is really there. This can be a brilliant day to tune in and discover some amazing enlightenment as to our place in the scheme of things. New publications released today will do well, especially if they can incorporate some measure of mystery in their stories. Starting a new book with a focus on the mysteries of the universe, dreams or psychic phenomena will turn out very well. Travel brochures will be eagerly snapped up today and bookings made for overseas destinations with great enthusiasm. The travel industry will have a busy day moving people from A to B in quick succession.
Tuesday 26 September: Mercury sextile Saturn. This brings the kind of day to get truly focussed and organised, especially with paperwork, telephone calls and any demanding job that requires concentration and attention to detail. Maybe balance the cheque-book or start a new study course. Jobs commenced today may have long term obligations involved so if you are mature and keen to plant the seeds for things to grow slowly yet surely, take some action and get started today. This is also a good time to sit down and do some serious planning for your future. You will feel organised and enjoy the challenge of putting your life in order and meeting your obligations. Any new business proposal can be considered to be worth your effort or investigation.
Thursday 28 September: Mercury sextile Pluto. This would be a good day for private investigators or the Police to go digging for information to shed some light on a previously hidden problem. Archaeologists too could have a field day and uncover treasures they had been searching for for years. Egypt may suddenly seem a great place to be. Any type of exploratory works or projects now will reveal something previously out of view. Writers can get focussed and produce good works.
The not so favourable days in September 2006 are:
Sunday 3 September: Mercury opposition Uranus. A buzzing and electrically charged day so plan your agenda with plenty of room to manoeuvre when the interruptions come in. Many will find themselves mentally exhausted after a day like this and the long hot bath at the end of the day will be truly welcomed before retiring to bed. Some will just thrive though, receiving flashes like bolts of lightening entering their brainwaves. Some will come up with the most amazing insights and new inventions. Keep a pen and paper handy or a tape recorder for all those great ideas to make note of before they get lost in cyberspace. The Internet will go into overdrive too and your inbox could overflow or get blocked in some way due to over use. Plans and travel arrangement can run amok so be prepared and have an alternative route to follow. Accidents will happen for those who are unprepared for changes as they arise. Not the day to buy a computer or any other electrical item. Steer clear of potential hazards such as frayed electrical cords etc. Young people are more at risk than the elderly.
Tuesday 5 September: Sun opposition Uranus. Don’t count on things going as planned today, for every little hiccup can magnify and throw your life into chaos. Air travel may be disrupted or exceptionally busy and mistakes are likely to occur that interfere with the way you had wanted things to go. Have a plan B ready as more than likely you will need it. Sudden, unexpected events can occur quite rapidly and prevent an easy flow of ideas and plans. Avoid rebellious people and eccentrics as they can play havoc with your routines or your way of life. Someone in power may have their status changed or they suffer an unexpected fall.
Saturday 9 September: Mercury square Pluto. This is an aspect that will test those who are trying to push their wares or ideas on others, for resistance will be felt, which could be very subtle and hidden from view. Documents, alarming news and propaganda will claim the mass attention in some way so be alert and read everything thoroughly that you have to sign. Preferably wait for a more fortunate time to commence any new undertaking, especially if it involves taxes, insurance, or other joint monetary ventures. We need to guard against being manipulated or coerced into something we would rather not do. People who insist on digging up old matters from the past will find they cannot heal their wounds just yet, as it is too painful or confronting. There are likely to by many communications that should be mistrusted, whether verbal, e-mail or by letter. Documents may be misleading or have loop holes that are indiscernible. Agreements are unlikely or will be fraught with problems.
Saturday 16 September: Venus opposition Uranus. This can throw a spanner in the works or a curve ball your way that you were not anticipating. As this is a not so favourable influence for starting new friendships, relationships of getting married, I would wait for a more opportune blending of heavenly star patterns. If unions are commenced today they may be brief or the person leaves very abruptly with almost no warning. Those who choose today to marry may find themselves in the divorce courts before too long. It is an OK time to have a masquerade party or other social event where people are permitted to let their hair down and be as wild as they wish. Just don’t expect new liaisons to be long-term, nor get involved in financial affairs that have the slightest suggestion of risk.
Sunday 17 September: Sun square Pluto. This is potentially a highly volatile and explosive angle that can erupt from out of nowhere and create chaos and ruin for those who take chances with their lives and their safety. A VIP or other person of high standing may take a fall or be held accountable for some misdeed from their past. Any secrets that are buried may be re-surfaced and exposed for all to see. This will be an ugly time for some, as the underworld elements of this can be exposed and create unpleasant situations for people to try to extract themselves from what they are involved in. Not a good day to buy a car, go into business, get married, engaged or start a new job, friendship or other personal decisions that can reflect on oneself at a later time. Be careful who you associate with and do not trust strangers. Alleyways and dark places should be avoided like the plague.
Monday 25 September: Jupiter square Neptune. This is a difficult alignment, and these energies have been brewing for a week or so and will continue for another week or two as well. Despite the negative connotation of this aspect, this could in fact turn out to be a positive alignment if those amongst us are able to rise above the mundane and see the higher octave of the true meaning of life and our purpose in it. However, we are not all so highly or finely tuned and therefore it can be a time of trials and tribulations productive of errors, or expectations magnified out of all proportion and leading us to misjudgements and flawed reasoning. There will be a feeling of having our faith tested, yet again, and those who are not strong in mind, will start to wilt and crack under the pressure. What appears to be a heroic or wise deed, may turn out to be a totally fraudulent and/or wasteful exercise. Liars, cheats and con men will be out in full force so tread warily and trust no-one at face value and even question those you do know well, just in case there was an oversight or there is some misunderstanding that can produce problems later on. Fuel prices may go through the roof or there are problems connected with these or with the shipping and travel industries.
Tuesday 26 September: Mars quincunx Uranus. This is highly explosive and accident prone time so do not start out on any new journey or buy a car today. Try to avoid working with heavy machinery or electrical items as something may go horribly wrong. Plans will be unsettled and errors likely to arise quite unexpectedly. Take your time if people start to get pushy or forceful. Riots can develop easily so avoid large gatherings or people who are out to start a fight. Do not make any particularly personal decisions today as this could be fraught with problems and dangerous conditions. There is the tendency for people to knee-jerk in their reactions to others if they do not get what they want or hear what they want to hear. This is an accident prone day relatively speaking. People generally won’t be co-operative and disruptive behaviour and even eccentricities will be far more intolerable to cope with than usual. Avoid those who are rebellious or anti-social for they will instigate disruptive actions that will attract problems for themselves and those around them.
Also today: Venus square Pluto. Not the best kind of day to start a new romance, friendship, or get engaged or married. Hidden motives or jealousy could set the tone for a disastrous relationship, so avoid those tall dark strangers who surround themselves in mystery and intrigue. Do not trust anyone you meet for the first time, no matter how enticing it may seem. You could get caught in the black widow spider’s web of deceit and corruption. Some people may violate others rights and con them into believing they are onto something wonderful, however the wolf in sheep’s clothing is very near the door. People who harbour grudges will be on every corner so avoid and entanglement that shows any sign whatsoever of someone who is bitter or twisted in any way. However this may be hard to pinpoint, due the deceptive element of this aspect.
