Select Your Advisers With Care
The heavens offer only seven favourable alignments and eleven that will test our stability and maturity. Those who are evolved will be able tolerate those who are less enlightened, as they have the understanding to cope with those more fragile beings running around causing mayhem for themselves, and sometimes to others.
There are a total of five alignments to the elusive planet Neptune this month so things will not be as they seem. Jupiter too receives four alignments showing that some will go over the top in some areas of their life. There will also be much ado going on in the courthouses, though do not believe all the gossip, as people will tend to tell lies to save their butt. There could a scandal or two, three, or more, reach the news, or make huge intriguing headlines, but do not be gullible and believe all your read or hear during this month.
There may also be many a fake guru or Messiah making all sorts of false claims about their abilities. Hopefully some will get caught out, and boy oh boy, the red faces this will produce. Mysticism and spiritualistic matters may also be under attack. Try to trust your own judgment where possible, and if seeking an opinion, then I suggest you select your advisers with care.
Mercury will double up some of its alignments due to its retrograde phase and then repeat those aspects (Mercury to Jupiter twice and Mercury to Neptune twice) in its direct motion before the month is out. This may incline some to think they are on the right track and then have to go over the finer details of a situation once more before realising that a clearer view was needed and this could be clouded by the inclusion of the deceptive planet Neptune being involved twice this month with Mercury. It will be a particularly important time to check documents that are of significance to you in some way, or other communications via phone, e-mail or fax that does not spell out all the information. There could be fraud or dishonesty rampant during this time, from approximately Tuesday 13 May through to Wednesday 28 May, so be on the lookout for con artists and those who may deliberately mislead you or misrepresent themselves.
As Jupiter is also aligned twice by Mercury, the dirty deed could be all out of proportion and the extortion a big one. Justice may not prevail so take care with belongings, as Mercury is in Taurus the sign of material things and valuables, and Jupiter in Leo could be connected with gold or other items of big value. Perhaps something valuable is lost or stolen from a theatre or from a castle or a member of royalty.
There is a New Moon in Taurus on Thursday 1 May 2003. This may be a propitious time to invest in shares that have a safety net, if that's possible. The music industry or the arts may be valuable sources of gain on a financial level. Patience will pay off for those who persevere with the tried and tested and are not out to make a fortune overnight.
Venus moves into its own sign of Taurus on Friday 16 May for a stay of three and a half weeks. This is a time when most will be focussing on the comforts of life and the material issues that affect us on a day to day basis. People will be looking for stability and safety connected to their resources. The musical and arts centres will be in focus as well as items of beauty, furnishings and all women's products. A particularly good time to put your money into investments that centre around these products or services. There will be a particular announcement made this month concerning a love affair that will be put on more solid footing. Perhaps someone in a high position or connected to royalty makes an engagement announcement!
There is also a Full Moon on Friday 16 May. With the Moon in Scorpio and the Sun in Taurus this can bring things to a head that had reached a standstill. Some people and situations may be particularly rigid in sticking to their guns and being immovable. It would be wise to be a little more flexible in thought and action.
The life giving Sun moves into the sign of the twins, Gemini, on Wednesday 21 May for one month. During this time there will be emphasis on communications, doing things in two's and there could even be some significant births of twins during this time that is in the news. Even Siamese twins may occur more than usual. The communications industry will be in full swing and some people speaking before they put their brain into gear. Games and puzzles will be sought after and sales increases in these areas or to do with prankish ideas and themes.
Mercury goes direct on Tuesday 20 May. Communications and businesses in general, or to do with transport may now start to pick up speed if there have been setbacks or delays in the last three weeks. Those who seek to get their message across clearly and efficiently will be able to do so with relative ease. The Internet and computer sales will start to move along nicely. News and media avenues will get busy and buzzing once more.
There is the second New Moon for this month in Gemini on Saturday 31 May. Flexibility will now be possible and for those who wish to launch a new business connected with the Internet or other communications area. It can start well and continue if enough imagination and novel ideas are incorporated into the business so that it is always presenting something new.
Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.
The favourable days in May 2003 are:
Friday 2 May: Venus sextile Neptune. What a magical day. If you plan a party, engagement or wedding today and incorporate lots of glamour it will go down exceptionally well. Any new relationships formed today will be particularly romantic. Idealism will run high and people will be expecting their dreams and fantasies to come true, and they just might. Well, at least it will appear that way. A good day to invest in jewellery, music, clothing or that oil painting you have your eye on.
Wednesday 7 May: Sun conjunct Retrograde Mercury. Whilst this can be a positive day to get things happening, they may just be slightly sluggish and require a bit more concentration whilst Mercury is still in its retrograde phase, so do not expect those slow of speech or action to show any speed today. Mental concentration may wane and you have to take a rest and re-hash the idea again for a second time. Negotiations may be thwarted by interruptions, distractions or the phone ringing off the hook. So don't plan any important business negotiations or sign binding contracts today as they may have to be re-done later.
Thursday 8 May: Venus trine Pluto. This is the kind of day I always look forward to. Many can use this time to re-invent themselves or paint new colours on their face or try out a total new look in clothing, hair do or appearance in some way. Also if you start a new relationship today it can revolutionise your life and your outlook. Even friendships will tend to make you take a second look and wonder how you can start anew if you have to. New romances will be particularly intense and give a 'fated' feeling. Magnetic attractions will occur and this will be along the lines of very deep and meaningful experiences. Starting a business along lines of transformation or to do with women's products, music or the arts would fare well.
Wednesday 14 May: Venus sextile Saturn. This one is very fortunate for getting married, starting a new business or getting a loan for, or building your first home. Set things in concrete today and they are likely to endure the storms of time. However, please take into consideration my thoughts on the other two unhelpful vibrations, (namely the Retrograde Mercury square Mars and Mars conjunct Neptune) from the Cosmos, mentioned below in the section on the unfavourable days, before making any major or important personal decisions).
Monday 19 May: Venus sextile Uranus. Love at first sight can happen today for those who are footloose and fancy free. However, be aware that this can be over before you have found out their surname. Sorry, but that is the erratic and unpredictable nature of Uranus aligning with Venus the planet of love and harmony. Relationships and friendships can start and end relatively quickly, but hey, if that's what you want you can have it in abundance today if you go looking for it. There may also be some unusual couplings going on and you could hear of some people who get together whom you may think are unsuited, and well that may be, but just try stopping them and you will be ignored. Some may take leave of their senses when it comes to starting a relationship with someone new. Some relationships may last a long period of time, but only if a huge amount of flexibility and freedom is incorporated into their lifestyle.
Sunday 25 May: Mars sextile Pluto. A great day to open a gym or get involved in any business or project with the aim of improvement or transformation. A good day to start some home renovations as the energy and ideas will be there. Also a good time to buy a new car, start your own mechanical engineering business or car retailing, or car repair shop. Physical energy will be in abundance so if you want to flex the muscles and enter a marathon run, then go to it.
Tuesday 27 May: Mercury conjunct Venus. (Also note the unfavourable Venus/Neptune angle on the same day). A day of love and poetry and light hearted fun and frivolity. Take time out today to enjoy some lovely music or pleasant scenery and you will be aligning your actions in accord with the romantic and peaceful vibrations of the heavens. Romantic attachments and friendships formed today will be free of jealousy or binding commitments. People will want to be carefree and concerned with happiness and pleasure.
The not so favourable days in May 2003 are:
Sunday 4 May: Sun square Neptune. Not the day to trust strangers, get involved in any project you know little about or to be trusting even with those whom you thought would never deceive you. Con artists will flourish today so make sure you know all the facts about someone before you even dare hand over a dollar of your hard earned income to them. There could be a big drug haul occur today and they may even get away with it, unless of course an insider wants to get them busted for a previous indiscretion involving a matter of trust that went badly wrong. Don't get married today or start any new business for there will be hidden traps for the unwary or the gullible.
Friday 9 May: Mars opposition Jupiter. Don't challenge the law courts today or take on a big project where you are expecting a favourable outcome. Chances are your energies will be wasted or misused or you will be incorrectly guided about a very serious and important matter. Avoid large groups of people or situations where things can be blown out of all proportion to the matter at hand. Not a good day to travel, so plan another day if possible. A judge or magistrate may have a contentious issue to deal with that will be difficult to deal with and cause embarrassment to someone in a high position, perhaps even to themselves.
Tuesday 13 May: Retrograde Mercury square Neptune. An elusive day all round so take care especially with transport, passports, tickets, travel, departure and arrival times and anything where you are counting on being right on time. Mishaps and instructions that are full or loopholes can occur and deception will run rampant for those who do not check things out themselves thoroughly. Do not trust strangers and check your luggage at the airport if you do have to travel on business and it is unavoidable. Things, people, property and valuables will tend go astray and may never be found again. New friendships formed today will not be what they appear and don't start any new business enterprise at all.
Wednesday 14 May: Retrograde Mercury square Mars and Mars conjunct Neptune. This is the most potentially deceptive day of the whole month and should be treated with care. There is great potential for people masquerading as someone else so check all those beards and wigs, just in case. Those who seek to disguise themselves will do very well and walk off with the loot before anyone even suspected that they could possibly be the culprits. It will be somewhat like the lady with the baby in the pram who is camouflaging her real intent of treachery and deceit, in a very big way. Do not start a new business today or attempt some impossible feat, for it will have holes in it that are hard to see or instructions to decipher. People will tend to go off half-cocked and make rash judgments or statements that they will have to retract later, or wish they had not opened their mouths in the firs place. Also an accident prone day so take care and don't rush as haste will be the means to your fall. (Also note the favourable Venus/Saturn angle on the same day).
Tuesday 20 May: Retrograde Mercury square Jupiter. Do take care especially when signing contracts or starting any new project that will require far more of you, your time and your resources than you are prepared to commit to. In fact I would advise against any new business being formed today or to even try to reach an agreement as changes may have to be made later that alter the whole intention of the original idea. Lies will be the order of the day and people making outlandish claims that are false or just too big to believe.
Saturday 24 May: Mercury square Jupiter again, due to Mercury now moving forward, so though the signs indicate a speeding up, there may still be problems associated with those matters mentioned above. Wait for a more favourable day to start any new projects, just to be on the safe side. There is also the Sun square Uranus today and explosive situations may develop rather suddenly and unexpectedly. Prepare for an alternate route or a Plan B as things will not go according to what you had in mind. A change in schedule at the last minute may be inevitable and cause unrest, chaos and irritability. Those who are prone to erratic behaviour will be out in force and disrupting the lives of others with little concern. Someone in power may make a startling announcement or be caught off-guard if they are unwise.
There is also the Sun square Uranus today (24 May 2003)and explosive situations may develop rather suddenly and unexpectedly. Prepare for an alternate route or a Plan B as things will not go according to what you had in mind. A change in schedule at the last minute may be inevitable and cause unrest, chaos and irritability. Those who are prone to erratic behaviour will be out in force and disrupting the lives of others with little concern. Someone in power may make a startling announcement or be caught off-guard if they are unwise. This alignment can rock the boat on the calm waters of life. Often things don't go as planned on a day like this. I often also associate it with an unusual occurrence involving either a VIP or a member of royalty. There appears to be some type of disruptive element associated with people in high places and sudden upsets that cause chaos for those involved in any way. Hiccups and unplanned re-organisations are the order of the day and particularly those involving the aviation and television industries. Have that Plan B ready for whatever may crop up that you were not anticipating. Rebellious people will be on the prowl too so watch your back.
Monday 26 May: Venus square Jupiter. Well, this is not perhaps the worst day in the month, unless you are going shopping with that brand new credit card and get carried away by all the goodies on offer. Things will be over-done and lavish and if you apply this in relation to a party, well at least everyone will have a good time, even if they do eat and drink too much or start some new relationship that seems inappropriate to their status. Weddings held today will be big, brash, boastful and very expensive. Diamond dealers may have a good retail trading day as will businesses selling perfumes, flowers, clothing, jewellery and other items of beauty and adornment.
Tuesday 27 May: Venus square Neptune. Not the day to get married, engaged or start a new romance or friendship as the element of deception will be in the air and hard to fathom. Disappointment can be the order of the day if you do insist on getting involved with people or situations that are alien to you. Not the day to start a new business either and don't let your valuables out of your sight as thieves will be all over the place, looking for those people who are not paying attention to what they are doing. Take care in all financial transactions today too. (Also note the favourable Mercury/Venus angle on the same day).
Wednesday 28 May: Mercury square Neptune, repeated again due to Mercury's direct motion. Refer to the details of Tuesday 13 May, however as Mercury is now in direct motion, there will be some people who are consciously determined to take advantage of those who are looking the other way and being too trusting, especially of strangers.
