A Time Of Unity If We Want It
There are far more disruptive vibrations in the skies this month than there are favourable energies. It will largely be up to us, as it always is anyway, to harness those tempting radical thoughts and reactions, and control how we handle what is tossed our way. Those who are wise will weather the stormy weather without feeling too much pressure, whereas those who are unskilled in the journey of life, may find themselves either the victim of circumstance and/or the instigator of their very own troubles.
Overall there are only four favourable planetary star patterns, compared with seven that are less desirable. Chronologically the other changes are: There is a Full Moon on September 11; Uranus will move back into its own sign of Aquarius on September 15 for a stay of four months; Mercury is initially retrograde though will move into forward motion on September 20; The Sun will move into Libra on September 23; There is a New Moon in Libra on September 26; Mars will also go direct on September 27.
Now to the changes in the skies that can direct us on the right course, please read my humble observations below.
The Full Moon on September 11 may bring about some very sensitive issues as the Moon will be in the impressionable and deep water sign of Pisces. This may stir up memories associated with this date connected to the World Trade Centre tragedy. Some may be unable to reconcile their acceptance of such a horrible disaster. The Virgo Sun is also a sensitive sign and people will tend to be looking for the details rather than the bigger picture. A situation involving a hospital or other place connected with the health industry may be in the news and require serious consideration.
Uranus moves back into its own sign of Aquarius on September 15 and during this four month time phase we may witness a time of a re-awakening of the insight that is within us all to tap if we might just try. We are capable of seeing the distant future, the possibilities, the moves to reach outer space and anyone who may be lurking out there, in the darkness, yet there.
Venus enters its own sign of Libra on Tuesday 16 September. This wiil put the focus on justice etc and we may hear of some VIP partnerships being announced, special engagements or peace agreements. This peace-loving sign can bring harmony to areas that have been discordant in the past and people can be mended of their broken hearts or dreams. The fashion industry may also show us some lovely and elegant and/or expensive designs. Those opening businesses focussing on beauty, women's products and services will fare better than at any other time.
We still have Mercury retrograde until 20 September, so I will repeat from last month what I said then. (See my feature article on my website for an in-depth comment on this). However briefly, it is a time when people seem to go into an indecisive mode, or they make a decision and then renege on it at a later time. For some though this can be a good period for mental reflection and deep thought to understand what it is that you truly want to do. Often writers are highly productive during this time and some people are able to get lots of paper work done. Some have to re-trace their steps, or send that fax twice, as there are glitches and hitches that can get in the way of clear communications. Not the time to make major decisions if you can help it. As this influence will last approximately 23 days, it can interfere with plans and arrangements, such as to do with travel and tickets, and time schedules. If you travel to a particular destination during this time, you may later go there again in the future.
When Mercury does move forward at 12 degrees of Virgo, those who have natal planets at this same degree (of any sign) will feel the effect more strongly than those who do not. (I have both Mercury and Venus at 12 degrees, in Pisces and Aries respectively), so Woohoo!
This can be mentally very stimulating for those who get the full on blast of a stationery/direct Mercury to Mercury, so those people will seem to be a bit occupied (mentally) and, well, it is just the skies reflecting their energies onto us fragile human beings. Some may find this exhausting or draining, and others will just be full of ideas, so take notes please!
Generally speaking though, if you have been waiting in the wings, and preparing a launch or other new start, now you can put them into action and see them moving with relative speed. Anything you had started prior to the Mercury retrograde phase may have slowed down during this three week phase (up until September 20) and this can now be re-ignited or kick started into top gear.
The Sun enters Libra on Tuesday 23 September and this is the natural time of the year to start a significant new relationship, as the sign of Libra specifically relates to unions of all kinds. It is also a time when we can achieve unity, if that is what we truly want. This month long transit by the Sun will put the spotlight on the romantic affairs of those in the Royal families around the world and also on various VIP's and their relationships. It is also a time when people want to see justice done and so some issues may reach the headlines to do with people in the courtrooms, trying to reach reconciliation. It is possible that some situations may actually come to fruition and be resolved once and for all. We may see the beginnings of some new relationships making the headlines or agreements are reached on previously contentious issues. There will be a focus on peace-making and resolutions to prior conflict. A balance in power is possible.
Mars will move into direct motion at 0 degrees of Pisces on Saturday 27 September and this can be a time of high energy put into spiritual endeavours that brings insight and understanding. The positives are that we can understand the complexities and mysteries if we want to, and move forward with wisdom and clarity. Pisces is a sensitive and humanitarian sign, and Mars can be brash and overly eager to get things moving. Negatively, the Piscean influence can bring problems at sea, or to do with oil and/or water, such as pollution, or contaminants in the water supply that we drink. Some people may misdirect their energies during this time and their actions may contradict their intentions. Heated emotions are likely to result in unconscious actions which don't know how to express themselves. Stay away from brooding types and those who are somewhat shady, to say the least. There could be some fires, accidents or explosions connected to oil wells, petrol stations and angst connected to any of these or the shipping industry.
The favourable days in September 2003 are:
Thursday 4 September: Sun sextile Saturn. This promises to keep the established order of things on the right track. If you wish to impress the boss, or show them how responsible and hard working you are, then choose today to make your move. Choose to be upstanding, conservative and reliable and your efforts will be recognised, perhaps not overnight, but it will happen. Applying for jobs in the public service or other traditional establishment will meet with success if you follow the rules to the T. Dress conservatively, obey orders, be on time, and you will surely rise up the corporate ladder if this is what you are wishing for. People need to know that they can rely on you and know that you are the rock upon which others lean for guidance and wisdom. Various efforts made today will have very long range effects so invest some real effort into your endeavours, be there for the long haul and success will follow.
Monday 8 September: Retrograde Mercury conjunct Venus. This tends to incline people towards thoughts of love, harmony and peace. Some will write lengthy declarations of their feelings for the one they adore. Peaceful negotiations are highly likely for those who have the best interests of everyone at heart. A good day to have a celebration, throw a party, go on a special date, get engaged or married. Businesses focussing on communications and the elements of romance will fare well, such as greeting cards offering words of love and friendship. As it is retrograde Mercury contacting Venus, some people may consider going back to a former flame. This may or may not prove to be a good time. I would wait till Mercury moves forward once again, preferably after 20 September.
Thursday 11 September: Sun conjunct Mercury. This is called a combust situation, where a planet is so close to the Sun and the Sun can literally burn up the other planet. This can cause a congestion of information on telephone lines, faxes, e-mails and even face to face communications, where one person is just not hearing the other or cannot seem to reach an agreement or get their heads together on the same issue. Postpone any really important negotiations until a better day. Those who are fast paced mentally will enjoy a day like this and they will not be agitated by the influx of interruptions or extra communications because they will literally thrive on it. At least they will not have a boring day. The rest of us will be somewhat frazzled by the end of the day and be seeking some quiet time away from the demands of this modern world.
Wednesday 24 September: Venus trine Neptune. This is just wonderful for a first date, getting engaged or married or throwing a huge party or other social gathering. If you utilise the themes of the ocean, romantic or magical effects, the outcome will be truly fascinating for all those who participate. Musicians, artists and poets will be in their element with thoughts and the imagination flowing freely and inspired by the mystical aspects of the Universe. A good day to open a business focussing on the elements of beauty, flowers, crystals, perfumes and women's products.
Tuesday 30 September: Venus sextile Pluto. This is a magnificent combination of Venus with Pluto. What a great day. I love this kind of planetary formation. If you should happen to meet a new lover under this influence you will be radically changed overnight. This new person will seem magnetic and passionate. You may feel you have been put under a spell, and in a way you are right. This influence is deep, hypnotic and highly sexual, so expect to go into a relationship and become totally and intimately involved, and very quickly too. Also a good day to get married, start a new business enterprise especially if it involves regeneration themes, getting fit or to do with women's products and services.
The not so favourable days in September 2003 are:
Friday 5 September: Venus square Pluto. This does not bode well for all new relationships, friendships and is not the day to propose, get engaged or married. People can become obsessive about one another and later found to be prying into their private affairs. This is the sinister and subversive side of this aspect and can be productive of jealousy to an insane degree. Those who do choose to unite today will probably live to regret it. There will be undercurrents of resentment and hidden motives to the relationship. One may manipulate the other and this will have sinister overtones and result in pain and suffering to the victim. Also do not start any new enterprise today, especially one that involves your hard earned savings. Do not start a new business project, especially one that involves flowers, perfumes or any situation where you are expecting things to flow smoothly. Time is the great teacher, and today the lessons may be harder to swallow.
Also today is the Saturn quincunx Neptune aspect. This is actually a minor angle, which I do not usually mention, of a quincunx between Saturn and Neptune, which will also occur on Friday 5 September, and this has been brewing for a few weeks. This can be a time, covering several weeks, where the established order of things may dissolve or intentions are misunderstood, or deception is carried out in places of power, authority, and especially in government areas and previously strictly structured organisations. The walls may literally collapse or start to feel the strain. Someone in a high position may be side swiped or they disappear or drown. There may be a scandal in high places and some red faces to answer serious allegations of corruption or misuse of power. What was thought to be stable may become unstable. Ice may melt into the water. Snow capped mountains may experience major landslides.
Monday 8 September: Mars opposition Jupiter. Some people may go out of their way to make a big splash and could overdo in more ways than one. Unfortunately this can also bring some fracas with the legal system and those who uphold it, so stay away from those doing things to excess, lest you get caught up in their enthusiasm and get led astray and into the arms of the law. Some people who manifest the negative energies of this placement may feel that might makes right and clashes of muscles versus the law can erupt. Not the day to get married or form any other legally binding relationship. Not a day to buy a car or test your strength. Those who speed down the highway, may bring about untold misery for themselves and others.
Wednesday 10 September: Sun square Pluto. This is potentially a highly volatile and explosive angle that can erupt from out of nowhere and create chaos and ruin for those who take chances with their lives and their safety. A VIP or other person of high standing may take a fall or be held accountable for some misdeed from their past. Any secrets that are buried may be re-surfaced and exposed for all to see. This will be an ugly time for some, as the underworld elements of this can be exposed and create unpleasant situations for people to try to extract themselves from what they are involved in. Not a good day to buy a car, go into business, get married, engaged or start a new job, friendship or other personal decisions that can reflect on oneself at a later time. Be careful who you associate with and do not trust strangers. Alleyways and dark places should be avoided like the plaque.
Friday 12 September: Retrograde Mercury square Pluto. We had this aspect back Wednesday 13 August 2003. This is an aspect that will test those who are trying to push their wares or ideas on others, for resistance will be felt, though not overtly, it could be very subtle and hidden from view. Documents, alarming news and propaganda will claim the mass attention in some way so be alert and read everything thoroughly that you have to sign. Preferably wait for a more fortunate time to commence any new undertaking, especially if it involves taxes, insurance, or other joint monetary ventures. We need to guard against being manipulated or coerced into something we would rather not do. People who insist on digging up old matters from the past will find they cannot heal their wounds just yet. It is too painful and too confronting. Most communications are likely to be mistrusted whether verbal, e-mail or by letter. Documents may be misleading or have loop holes that are indiscernible. Agreements are unlikely or will be fraught with problems.
Friday 26 September: Venus square Saturn. Not a good day to get married, start a new relationship or go on a first date. Any one of these will be productive of delays, limitations or productive of burdens and other difficulties that will be hard to overcome. People will tend to be hard to reach or fathom or understand. Barriers that tend to divide will be more noticeable than usual. Do not start a new business today, especially if it involves women's products, beauty, music or the arts. Not a good day to try to reach amicable agreements, especially with those near and dear to you.
Monday 29 September: Direct Mercury square Pluto. This aspect is repeated again from earlier in the month, however this time Mercury is in direct motion and its effects will be somewhat stronger, However I will repeat what I said earlier as the effects will just be more intense this time around.
