What Are You Waiting For?

General overview for July 2006.

This month of July looks so very promising. We can rest in the knowledge that there are so many wonderful planetary alignments to help us make important life choices without risk of creating havoc in our lives. Overall however, there are nine helpful planetary alignments this month, compared to only three not so helpful ones.

Last month I pondered the question “how much more can you ask for?”

For me personally, I would just love to have a home that overlooks the ocean. A lot to ask perhaps? Not really. If we ask, we shall receive. I believe in the power of positive thinking and that we can manifest anything in our life if we believe in it very passionately. To limit one’s mind and imagination is to limit your very potential. There is limitless abundance in the Universe that is there for the asking, or relentless pursuit. What are you waiting for? Go out there and aim for the Sun, the Moon and the stars. They are within reach, just lift your mind to the place you want to be and then go there. That’s all there is to it.

Now down to the specifics………………

On Wednesday 5 July 2006 Mercury will turn retrograde up until 29 July. I will quote again from previous articles how we mere mortals are influenced by this phenomena. (See my feature article on my website for an in-depth comment on this). However briefly, it is a time when people seem to go into an indecisive mode, or they make a decision and then renege on it at a later time. For some though this can be a good period for mental reflection and deep thought to understand what it is that you truly want to do. Often writers are highly productive during this time and some people are able to get lots of paper work done. Some have to re-trace their steps, or send that fax twice, as there are glitches and hitches that can get in the way of clear communications. This is not the time to make major decisions if you can help it. As this influence will last approximately 24 days, it can interfere with plans and arrangements, such as to do with travel, tickets, and time schedules. If you travel to a particular destination during this time, you may later go there again in the future. This can be one of the most rewarding times to reflect on your thoughts, go over any previously laid plans and reassess whether it is exactly what you had in mind. You do not need to actually set things in motion at this time, just do the planning and preparation ready for when Mercury goes direct, in about three weeks time. So check the documents three times, allow for alterations to arise, and then check it all once more for accuracy. However, if you do need to leave a loophole open for further possible changes, then this may actually prove to be a fortunate time to commence a project where there will be no objection to changes you wish to make at a later time.

On Thursday 6 July Jupiter will resume direct motion. After having been in retrograde phase for the last several months, this will bring a renewed opportunity to restore our faith in ourselves and in the world. Those who feel they have been tested by the adversities going on around them will start to realise that the bigger picture is what is important and that mostly, we are mere mortals, and therefore do not have access to the mysteries that the Gods have in store for us. Those however, who are gifted on the psychic level will know that some of these mysteries and plans can be tapped from the Universal database of information.

On Tuesday 11 July Mercury will re-enter Cancer due to its retrograde motion. The sign of Cancer is associated with the mother, the womb, home and family matters and our sense of heritage or patriotism to our country. There will be more talk connected to those issues and news reports focussing more than usual on these everyday concerns. Those who are sensitive to criticism will need to strengthen their backbone somewhat, lest hurt feelings are flying all over the place.

Also today there will be a Full Moon with the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn. There could be some clashes of opinion regarding cultural and traditional views around this time. The age gap can also widen and cause barriers when attempting to relate to each other successfully. There may be some insensitivity to the matters the community wish to bring to the attention of people in high places.

On Wednesday 19 July Venus will enter Cancer and remain in this sign up until 13 August 2006. This sign is a home loving one, and also relates to how we feel about our country or home environment, and we may notice that we become more aware of what we love and cherish about these matters. This can bring out our nurturing and protective instincts more so than usual. This can reflect in positive developments within families to harmonise their relationships and make one another feel loved and comforted. Our sense of loving can be influenced by the sensitivity of this water sign and bring out the best in our capacities to be warm and protective of those we love, our home, hearth and country. This three week period can be a favourable time to redecorate the nest and make it more comfortable and homely.

On Sunday 23 July Mars will enter Virgo and remain in this sign up until 8 September 2006. This may heat up some debates connected with the health industry including hospitals, retreats or other places of confinement such as prisons, and all associated services they provide. There can easily be angst created wherever aggressive action or threats are displayed. There may also be some severe bushfires or other incidents involving heat or fire.

Also today the Sun will enter Leo and remain in this sign for one whole calendar month. This can put the spotlight on gold shares, entertainment, parties and big celebratory events involving showbiz and lots of glamorously dressed people out strutting their stuff. Not the time to hide your light under a bushel, but rather put your best threads on and show the world your real talents. Someone in power may become hugely popular during this month long phase and there may also be some spotlight shining more brightly on one of the Royal family. Having fun and enjoying oneself may be the tune during this time.

On Tuesday 25 July there will be a New Moon in Leo. This can be a very ego orientated time for some and there may be people sticking their nose in the spotlight, just to get their face on telly. Oh so be it for those who feel that need. Otherwise it can be a wonderful time for entertaining and socialising, especially with your very special friends and loved ones.

On Saturday 29 July Mercury will resume direct motion at 21 degrees of Cancer so if you have any personal points at that degree, some information may come to light regarding the area of life that Mercury rules in your own personal chart. Generally speaking, when Mercury moves back into direct motion things start to pick up speed, especially if they have recently undergone alterations or delays of any kind. Communications get back to normal, people will finally return your phone calls and the fax machine decides to work yet again, finally! Plans that had been put on hold, or holiday arrangements may now seem to flow a little smoother. You can safely trust that your thought processes are once again back on track and not as changeable as they have been recently.

Uranus is still retrograde and will continue in this phase up until mid November 2006. Uranus is the inventor and the discoverer of places beyond our imagination. We may try to re-discover how we can tap into our own unique imagination and realise our true potential and capabilities. We may have denied some of the things that could be and now we may investigate and discover what really is possible.

Neptune continues to be retrograde and will remain in this phase up until almost the end of October 2006. Neptune is the planet of high ideals and elusion. It is also the planet that dissolves situations including ice, icebergs, snow and hail. It can also produce mud slides. This planet was the pivotal planet in the event chart of the landslide in Thredbo. Whilst Jupiter retrograde may have seen many of us go through of period of questioning whether we have enough faith to sustain us, Neptune retrograde may lead some of us to question our ideals and our views on reality. This is also the planet related to drugs and alcohol. There may be far more people finding secret places to hide their trade, and this will make it harder to track those bringing illegal substances in and out of the various countries.

Pluto continues to be retrograde and remain in this phase up until 4 September 2006. Pluto is the transformer of the zodiac, and will literally turn your life around when making alignments to your own personal planets. However, when in retrograde phase it allows you the opportunity, once again to re-assess you current motives, your passions, your intimate relationships and your attitude towards, life, death, and even sex to decide if what you have chosen in recent times is for you overall good and development. Personally I prefer it when Pluto is in direct motion, but as I have said before, we can’t always have the planets where we want them or going in the direction we may prefer. Utilise this time to delve into your subconscious, go exploring your deepest psyche and uncover elements that you thought were hidden, even from yourself, and analyse them as if your life depended on it. The revelations you may experience may literally wipe your current slate clean and allow you to pursue your goals with absolute freedom when Pluto resumes direct motion in September 2006. Pluto will remain in Sagittarius until 27 November 2008. Pluto will retrograde back into Sagittarius for five months starting in June 2008 and then re-enter Capricorn in late November 2008.

For horary enthusiasts, between 1 and 10 July the Sun will be in mutual reception with Mercury. Continuing all month we still observe Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces indicating that they are still in mutual reception. Jupiter will continue to remain in mutual reception with Pluto all through July, right up until late November.

Now down to the specifics of daily planetary activity.

The favourable days in July 2006 are:

Saturday 1 July: Sun trine Jupiter. This is a beautiful alignment of the life-giving Sun with expansive Jupiter. It can provide us with the inspiration and faith to get any new endeavour under way with enthusiasm and sincerity of purpose. Open an entertainment centre or have a huge banquet or festival then and it will go off like a rocket to the Moon. This is also a good day to get married, start new friendships and any project involved with gold, glamour or places of amusement or the publishing industry. It is also one of the better kind of planetary times to commence just about anything that is important to you. A new store or business opening today would do well if the focus is on books, publishing, the travel industry or to do with the law. If you strive for success on a day like this you are likely to achieve your goal. This is also a good time to start an overseas holiday.

Monday 3 July: Venus sextile Saturn. This is the type of alignment that suggests a good time for entering into new negotiations, friendships or marriage. Any new business that is involved in the finance industry, or to do with women’s products and services, florists and perfumes will prosper if you can stick it out for the long haul.

Friday 7 July. Sun trine Uranus. This is a very electrical kind of day and one that can bring enormous excitement into people’s lives. Be prepared for the unexpected and the unusual and you will not be disappointed. A great day to go exploring, visit a place you have never been to before, start a new and exciting job or business, especially if it is connected to electronics, the Internet or aviation. Some people will come up with some potentially revolutionary ideas today and inventors will be inspired to bring something new and dazzling to the rest of us. New friendships started today will be very different to what you are used to and could literally turn your life around.

Monday 10 July: Venus trine Neptune. This is just wonderful for a first date, getting engaged or married or throwing a huge party or other social gathering. If you utilise the themes of the ocean, romantic or magical effects, the outcome will be truly fascinating for all those who participate. Musicians, artists and poets will be in their element with their thoughts and imagination flowing freely and inspired by the mystical aspects of the Universe. A good day to open a business focussing on the elements of beauty, flowers, crystals, perfumes and women’s products. This could be a heavenly day. Some people may be lucky enough to find their soul-mate. This is a magical time and will colour over all misgivings and produce a haze of wonder and delight that will leave you gasping. New friendships or romances commenced today seem idyllic and will restore your faith in humanity. People generally will appear to be more caring and compassionate. This is the kind of day when everything looks beautiful and inspirational. An ocean journey would be quite pleasurable to the senses or any other similar beautiful scenic location. A wisp of magical stardust will drift down from the heavens and gloss over today, inclining some romantic types to fall in love. The Sun will rise before you even had the chance to put out the candle lights.

Friday 14 July: Mars trine Pluto. A great day to open a gym or get involved in any business or project with the aim of improvement or transformation. A good day to start some home renovations as the energy and ideas will be there. Also a good time to buy a new car, start your own mechanical engineering business or car retailing, or car repair shop. Physical energy will be in abundance so if you want to flex the muscles and enter a marathon run, then go to it.

Tuesday 15 July: Venus sextile Mars. Those in the business of selling will have a field day if they use the methods of ‘sex sells’ at this time. The seductive elements between these planets can be wielded on an innocent public who will actually lap it up like a pussycat with a bowl of milk. A good day to get married, engaged, go on a first date or start a business involved in capturing the imagination of those who are interested in what attracts one to another. Items such as perfumes and aftershaves will sell well today, or any other item that lures people to one another.

Tuesday 18 July: Sun conjunct Mercury. This aspect makes some people get really focussed mentally while others just get flustered or frazzled by too much grey matter being stimulated. For those who like a fast pace in their daily routine they will sail ahead smoothly and swiftly. The others will have to do it again probably, and then they will get it right. This is called a combust situation, where a planet is so close to the Sun and the Sun can literally burn up the other planet. This can cause a congestion of information on telephone lines, faxes, e-mails and even face to face communications, where one person is just not hearing the other or cannot seem to reach an agreement or get their heads together on the same issue. Postpone any really important negotiations until a better day. Some people will enjoy a day like this and they will not be agitated by the influx of interruptions or extra communications because they will literally thrive on it. At least they will not have a boring day. The rest of us will be somewhat confused and exhausted by the end of the day and be seeking some quiet time away from the demands of this modern world.

Tuesday 27 July: Venus trine Jupiter. This is a brilliant day for getting engaged, married or starting a new romance or friendship. Also good for opening a new business, especially if it is connected to women’s products, entertainment, the travel industry or foreign relations. Throwing a lavish party will also meet with success, though could be very costly. Starting a long distance journey, voyage or holiday could put you on a new learning curve and would be highly enjoyable and may result in a new love interest in your life, if you are single and fancy free.

Monday 31 July: Venus trine Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a startling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment.

The not so favourable days in July 2006 are:

Wednesday 5 July: Mars opposition Neptune. This is one of those potentially deceitful days when people can easily colour over their mistakes and present a picture that is marred inside and out, if you would only lift the veil of elusion to view the ugly and distorted truth. It is wise not to sign any important documents on a day like this as there will be more loopholes than found in a fish-net. Those who generally tend to give people the benefit of the doubt will prove to be the most vulnerable. Do not believe all you read or hear today as there will be lies and deception running rampant. This alignment may cloud our vision or create errors of judgement. It can potentially be a deceptive day and should be treated with care. There is great potential for people masquerading as someone else so check all those beards and wigs, just in case. Those who seek to disguise themselves will do very well and walk off with the loot before anyone even suspected that they could possibly be the culprits. It will be somewhat like the lady with the baby in the pram who is camouflaging her real intent of treachery and deceit, in a very big way. Do not start a new business today or attempt some impossible feat, for it will have holes in it that are hard to see or instructions difficult to decipher.

Thursday 6 July: Venus square Uranus. This can throw a spanner in the works or a curve ball your way that you were not anticipating. As this is a not so favourable influence for starting new friendships, relationships of getting married, I would wait for a more opportune blending of heavenly star patterns. If unions are commenced today they may be brief or the person leaves very abruptly with almost no warning. Those who choose today to marry may find themselves in the divorce courts before too long. It is an OK time to have a masquerade party or other social event where people are permitted to let their hair down and be as wild as they wish. Just don’t expect new liaisons to be long-term, nor get involved in financial affairs that have the slightest suggestion of risk.

Saturday 15 July: Venus opposition Pluto. Not the best kind of day to start a new romance, friendship, or get engaged or married. Hidden motives or jealousy could set the tone for a disastrous relationship, so avoid those tall dark strangers who surround themselves in mystery and intrigue. Do not trust anyone you meet for the first time, no matter how enticing it may seem. You could get caught in the black widow spider’s web of deceit and corruption. Some people may violate others rights and con them into believing they are onto something wonderful, however the wolf in sheep’s clothing is very near the door. People who harbour grudges will be on every corner so avoid and entanglement that shows any sign whatsoever of someone who is bitter or twisted in any way. This may however, be hard to pinpoint due the deceptive element of this planetary pattern.
