Overview for the week ahead...

This is going to be a very interesting week in our Universe. Fortunately there are three helpful planetary alignments which may inspire us to peek into our subconscious and work out what it is that we really need to be happy. Some of us make plans to travel long distances with the aim of broadening our horizons. There may be some new romantic liaisons develop between people of different nationalities or age groups that shock and surprise the rest of us. There are however, four unhelpful planetary alignments that may lead us astray in our romantic notions about love. There may be a few curve balls to catch and some of us may overspend and forget about tomorrow. We may also be inclined to put our feet in our mouths and this will turn out to be at the most inappropriate time. Uranus turns retrograde and both Mercury and Venus change signs.

Wednesday 1 July Uranus turns retrograde and remains in this phase up until 1 December 2009. Uranus is the inventor and the discoverer of places beyond our imagination. We may try to re-discover how we can tap into our own unique imagination and realise our true potential and capabilities. We may have denied some of the things that could be and now we may investigate and discover what really is possible.

Thursday 2 July Venus clashes with Neptune. This unhelpful alignment may lure some people who are planning to mix business with pleasure and this brings about disappointment, loss or other confusion due to outright deception or serious camouflage. It is not the time to commit to a relationship or even a friendship, for there is likely to be something glossed over that hides the real truth or some elementary ugliness. An apparent secure relationship may come unstuck and reveal a trail of dishonesty, treachery and lies. Those who live life on the surface and pretend to be happy will be faced with having to show their dirty washing and there may still be something lurking in their pockets. Check all facts and any new faces you meet today.

Also today Mercury forms a helpful alignment to Neptune. This is a wonderful alignment for us fragile human beings, especially if we wish to tune into the cosmos and see what is really there. This can be a brilliant day to tune in and discover some amazing enlightenment as to our place in the scheme of things. New publications released today will do well, especially if they can incorporate some measure of mystery in their stories. Starting a new book with a focus on the mysteries of the universe, dreams or psychic phenomena will turn out very well. Travel brochures will be eagerly snapped up today and bookings made for overseas destinations with great enthusiasm. The travel industry will have a busy day moving people from A to B in quick succession.

Then Mercury forms a helpful link to Jupiter. This angle promises those who strive to see the bigger picture will do so and teach those who listen how to find it themselves. A great day to start a holiday or travel to places previously unseen. This could prove to be a great day to start writing a new book, open a book store or one associated with the travel industry. People will generally tend to be liberal and broad-minded in their thinking and approach to life. Also a favourable day to start teaching, lecturing or writing a lengthy project. The area of communications and information will be busy and any business started today that connects with these will fare well. This is a good time for negotiations and for getting your message across. The advertising and news media areas will be highly productive. There could be a merger between two large organisations, companies or countries, that can benefit everyone involved. Expansion is the key-word for the day, so plan to make this as positive a time as possible. A busy day for the travel industry and the Internet.

Also Mercury clashes with Uranus. A buzzing and electrically charged day so plan your agenda with plenty of room to manouvre when the interruptions come in. Many will find themselves mentally exhausted after a day like this and the long hot bath at the end of the day will be truly welcomed before retiring to bed. Some will just thrive though, receiving flashes like bolts of lightening entering their brainwaves. Some will come up with the most amazing insights and new inventions. Keep a pen and paper handy or a tape recorder for all those great ideas to make note of before they get lost in cyberspace. The Internet will go into overdrive too and your in-box could overflow or get blocked in some way due to over use. Plans and travel arrangements can run amok so be prepared and have an alternative route to follow. Accidents will happen for those who are unprepared for changes as they arise. Not the day to buy a computer or any other electrical item. Steer clear of potential hazards such as frayed electrical cords etc. Young people are more at risk than the elderly.

Venus also clashes with Jupiter. This is not perhaps the worst day in the month, unless you are going shopping with that brand new credit card and get carried away by all the goodies on offer. Things will be over-done and lavish and if you apply this in relation to a party, well at least everyone will have a good time, even if they do eat and drink too much or start some new relationship that seems inappropriate to their status. Weddings held today will be big, brash, boastful and very expensive. Diamond dealers may have a good retail trading day as will businesses selling perfumes, flowers, clothing, jewellery and other items of beauty and adornment.

Lastly today Venus forms a helpful link to Uranus. Those who dare to be innovative will capture the attention of their audience in a startling and exciting way during this time. Love relationships started today will be different in as many ways as there are stars in the sky. People involved in the arts, musical, beauty or related fields will be very productive and become more creative and inventive than usual. Those who wish to shock the conservative ones will be pleasantly surprised at how well they are actually accepted. The more unique your product or talent that you wish to show or sell will prove highly prosperous. A good day to get married, go on a first date, buy new clothes or throw a party or become involved in any form of entertainment.

Then on Saturday 4 July Mercury enters Cancer and remains in this sign up until 18 July. The sign of Cancer is associated with the mother, the womb, home and family matters and our sense of heritage or patriotism to our country. There will be more talk connected to these issues and news reports that focus more than usual on these everyday concerns. Those who are sensitive to criticism will need to strengthen their backbone somewhat, lest hurt feelings are flying all over the place.

On Sunday 5 July Mercury opposes Pluto. This is an aspect that will test those who are trying to push their wares or ideas on others, for resistance will be felt, which could be very subtle and hidden from view. Documents, alarming news and propaganda will claim the mass attention in some way so be alert and read everything thoroughly that you have to sign. Preferably wait for a more fortunate time to commence any new undertaking, especially if it involves taxes, insurance, or other joint monetary ventures. We need to guard against being manipulated or coerced into something we would rather not do. People who insist on digging up old matters from the past will find they cannot heal their wounds just yet, as it is too painful or confronting. There are likely to by many communications that should be mistrusted, whether verbal, e-mail or by letter. Documents may be misleading or have loop holes that are indiscernible. Agreements are unlikely or will be fraught with problems.

Lastly on Sunday Venus enters the dual sign of Gemini and remains there up until 1 August. Thoughts can turn to matters of peace and harmony and some negotiations are likely to be reached by those who try hard enough to achieve an amicable agreement. If people have the purest possible intentions, then this can be a time of gaining some universal solutions to difficult problems. Artists, writers, musicians and poets may produce some wonderful works and can sell these ideas to the public with relative ease. However Gemini is a changeable sign, so don’t count on stability or people sticking to their decisions. They could be in love with one person one day, and off looking at someone else the next.
